Are "rhinestone shades" much more expensive?

Cheap sunglasses implies something about the person - that they're not rich and therefore more likely to be impressed by a weird guy in a beard. Rhinestones are basically fake crystals (like Country singers have on their coats). Implies trailer-trash-ness and possibly an easy lay.

That's a few of my favorites.

I'm a big fan of ZZ Top, but I didn't care as much for their electrified-techno sound on the Elliminator and Afterburner albums as much as I like their raw, three piece boogie blues sound that they do so well on all their other albums.

Rockman - I agree, you don't really hear much about him anymore...

Carrots, I stopped buying after the Fandango album. I just couldn't get into the direction they seemed to take after that. Most of my faves are on the first three releases, and on those, probably on Tres Hombres. What I like is the flat-out approach the Boys take toward their music. Heavily blues-influenced and guitar oriented (no surprise there). Billy does more with the pentatonic scale than most guitarists will ever dream of; with such a "limited" mode, he rarely repeats his licks from song to song. I wish that Billy Gibbons would play in a manner now the way he did on the initial releases. He was so slashing and charged in his approach. If you've ever seen pictures of Billy without the beard, you may understand why he probably grew one: the man has little to no chin! In my opinion, the band is also one of the more depraved group of musicians out there, too. The overt sexual innuendo in their song titles or lyrics is astonishing! Oh well. Such is life for that Little Band Out Of Texas.

I think you're onto something...maybe you could get a Govt. grant to study this further...
