Can window cleaner remove UV protection from sunglasses?

So i sprayed some onto my sunglasses and I found out if i do that to my airsoft goggles, the anti-fog goes away, does this apply to UV Sunglasses?

Window cleaner won't remove the U.V. properties, but it can damage the lenses. The only lenses you can safely clean with window cleaner are glass, and only if they don't have an anti-reflective coating on the back. You can find lens cleaner that's safe for all lenses at www.heavyglare.com

Can you wear UV protection sunglasses in tanning beds?

like instead of the glasses they give you. bc my tanning place does not give you those glasses. would would sunglasses with like a towel over my eyes be ok?

I have worn my UV sunglasses OVER my goggles - and with a towel over my face - mainly don't want the UV to mess up my face - and I'm pretty attached to my eyes.

How can you tell if your sunglasses provide UV protection?

I bought a pair of Fossil sunglasses about a year ago and have since then forgotten whether or not they had a sticker on them indicating if they offer UV protection. Is there a way to look at the lens and tell if they have the coating to do so? Are Fossil's generally good quality sunglasses (picked these up at the Fossil store at the DFW airport)? What would brand would you recommend that offers protection without costing an arm and leg?

Can optometrists tell if sunglasses have UV protection?

Found a pair of sunglasses in the garage, and not sure if they have UV protection. No brand, just plain black framed sunglasses. If I take these to an optometrist are they able to tell me whether or not they offer UV protection?

Actually to verify if your sunglasses have UV protection, you should go to an Optician. This is more their area of expertise than asking an Optometrist.
