I have heard it bothers with your perception of the greens when you wear sunglasses playing golf. Is this true or do you find it does not bother you at all?
I wear prescription shades when I play. I have very dry eyes so I need the protection from the wind not to mention the sun. Sun can do a lot of damage to your eyes.
I did have a pair of off the shelf shades (cheap) and I noticed while on the tee one day the ground looked like it was slopping up behind the ball. I didn't wear those anymore for golf.

I'm looking into sunglasses, and I'm down to these two. The NYX are carbon frames with yellow, grey, and dark lenses, adn the Tifosi Tyrants have smoke polarized, red and yellow lenses. Which are better for golf?
Polarized lenses are not necessarily what you need for golf, they work best on water by blocking out glare. The most important thing you need is something with optical clarity and for that Oakley is the best. I have been through a truck they have that demonstrates all of their technology and it's amazing. I think they have some of the presentation on their web site.

Special lenses block out grass and foliage?so lost balls actually appear bright against the background
Makes ball spotting easier
Reduces ball loss; saves money
Im a caddy/ forecaddy and sometimes its hard to watch the eniter flightpath of a ball, especially just as it passes over your head and on days where there are clouds, even on sunny days. The worst thing obviously for caddies to do is to lose a ball. So would sunglasses help see the ball or is there a better way? And if sunglasses work, does anyone know any good affordable brands that would help.
I have a pair of akdema baseball sunglasses. Would those work or should i get golf sunglasses or does it make no difference?
Try your baseball glasses first as specialist golfing sunglasses DO help and not only look good on the golf course, their light-weight materials make them ideal for any sport.
Depending on the brand, they will block out all the harmful UV400 rays but allow for fuller clarity on the ball in bright sunlight and cloud conditions, this clearer vision allows a perfect view of all the hazards and undulations on the course.
Some styles ensure that no sunlight comes over the top or around the sides of the frames. For example, http://www.qualitysunshades.com/index.ph p?cPath=3_28_29

I've read conflicting opinions on this. Some say polarized lenses make it easier to see the golf ball, and improves your game. Others say it makes it harder to read the contours of the course, especially the greens. What do you think?
Hi Tim,
I've been using golf sunglasses for a number of years and it is well known amongst the better players that polarized lenses are very bad for their distortion factor. Particularly when reading greens and when judging contours. Try Oakley glasses!
i need new shades and i want custom oakleys. what model would make sense for both the sports i play in the spring and summer?
One of the Flak Jacket or Radar models. You might have to get somewhere to try them on and find which lens shape/style you prefer.
Both have the newer hydrophobic lenses though, and both utilize interchangeable lenses. You're very likely going to want to switch lenses depending on conditions -- the Flak Jacket replacement lenses tend to run more affordable, however.
And for what it's worth, I'd strongly recommend looking at polarized lenses for anything you'd use in bright / daylight settings.

How to make a golf ball finder?
I'm trying to make a "spectrum of color filters" so that when you look through her white objects, in this case a golf ball, is out and looks brighter, while the dark green grass. Any suggestions?
As the ball is white (all colors), and the color of the grass is green, you want a filter that allows through all colors, but green and the grass looks darker. This is called a "notch" filter. This type of filter normally be orange / red or blue-ish-ish. If you are a royal court, will allow through red and blue, magenta or purple look. See link below. What would you like to try the red filter or blue and see what works best. http://www.edmundoptics.com/onlinecatalog/displayproduct.cfm?productID=2079 The company claims that have already filtered glasses that can be used (and shown in blue): http://probablegolfinstruction.com/golf-ball-finders-demo.html
Golf Ball Finder Glasses (Blue)The Golf Ball Finder Glasses are remarkable ball spotter glasses designed with special tinted lenses that filter out foliage and grass so your white golf balls actually seem to glow against trees, rough or fairway — for instant visual pickup.
