Sunglasses For Kids

I heard that kids under 16 who use prescription sunglasses on a daily basis can cause high sensitivity to the eyes , more that they would have if they were not to wear them.

I am about to but 1 for my daughter ,15, but would like to know if this is true or not.

She has a distance sight problem and uses eyeglasses just to see from distance. Now I would like to but her prescription sunglasses but am not sure that this is the right thing to do.

Any suggestions please? Thanks

Everyone should wear sunglasses as this can prevent cataracts when you are older. If you child wears prescription glasses then prescriptions sunglasses can be bought.

I am very petite and womens' sunglasses are huge! I'm 20 years old and I have to buy kids sunglasses. I want practical ones that aren't barbie or hello kitty. Where can I find them??

OK I have a pretty big head. This makes finding sunglasses that fit right a huge pain. Most will fit on my head, but look way too small in comparison to my head size, it looks like I'm wearing little kid sunglasses.

Anyone know of a store or maybe an online retailer that sells sunglasses for big headed guys like me?

Kid Rock gave me a pair of his black Oakley's that he had been wearing while I was at his house. He signed him for me.
I'm wondering how much they would be worth, should I decide to ever sell them! Thanks!

Depends on where he signed them (lens, frame, etc.), and how well (permanent marker, etc).

Also depends on how well you can prove they're authentic. Any photos of him signing, etc.

Some people give more of a hoot about his autograph than others. Some would probably prefer a wearable pair of sunglasses, and his signing them may have actually made them worth less than they would have been by themselves.

And if you'd have trouble proving authenticity to someone else, that kind of thing can be more of something that's cool to have and is going to mean more to you than you'll actually get financially from selling them.

The only recent authentic autograph of his that sold added $50 to a Kid Rock T-shirt, if you want your bearings. If he signed a $250 pair of sunglasses, well, if they can no longer be worn they may very well be worth about $50 now. Seriously. You might have preferred it financially if he just gave them to you without mucking 'em up. :)
