as long as the sunglasses are rated for uv protection of at least 95%(by law). 100% is better. But with sunglasses they need to be large enough to cover your entire eye area, not just your eye. The reason for this is that the uv can come in through the sides or top and still get into your eyes. As for brightness, some people are more light sensitve than others and need to have darker lenses. If this is your situation than make sure your lenses are fairly dark, if you are getting prescription sun than they can make them as dark as you like. Another option is polarized lenses. These block out glare from the sun and are great for winter driving or out boating/fishing, they are very comfortable to wear and after you've worn them it's hard to wear anything else.They are usually more expensive, but are worth it.
Also just like sunblock is important to your skin on cloudy/overcast days, the same holds true for your eyes. If you normally wear prescription glasses than make sure they have uv protection in them(they don't have to be tinted to have this), or you can get a pair of lightly tinted glasses for those days that aren't as bright. Kudos for taking your eyesight seriously. More people should do that. A lot of people don't realize the long term damage they are doing to their eyes by not wearing sunglasses and with the ever increasing harmful uv that is getting into our atmosphere the problems are only getting worse.

I have no idea if this question even makes any sense but often times I like to wear sunglasses as my eyes hurt with direct sunlight. But I notice that ( yes I am an odd person) I wonder where I should place my sunglasses. Lift it up on the forehead, over the head, behind the ears, on the shirt.

Hey people,
so I'm going to Warped in a couple of days and I need some sunglasses that will look at least decent on me. I've always been self conscious about sun glasses because I've never worn flattering ones, so could you tell me what style sunglasses work for my [round] face shape or maybe give a direct link to some? I'll probably be going to target.
