I have a pair of fathom costa del mar sunglasses and I scratched the lens. Now the lens needs to be replaced and I was wondering what the cost will be to have this done. The website says they will repair it for a nominal fee and I was wondering about how much that would be.
From reading the FAQ on the website you already know they won't buff out the scratch because it would effect the visual acuity of the lenses. You also know that they won't change just one of the lenses, they will automatically change both to insure a perfect color match. Here's a link to a forum about exactly this topic. You can expect to pay about $40 for the repair, and an additional $10 for shipping and handling from them. You also will have to pay an additional amount to ship the glasses to them. Your repair will cost you somewhere between $50-60. Sorry it's not what you wanted to hear, but it is what's going to happen. Looking at the glasses I can tell you that it doesn't cost them anywhere near that much to make the glasses. They're warranty is a scam to get more money from you.

So I have a new pair of ?Costa Del Mar "Brine" sunglasses with the CR39 Amber lenses. Is it ok for me to wear them in and around chlorinated (Pool) water? Will the water damage the frames, lenses, etc.?
You bought the glasses to wear. Why play the what if game? I say wear them and enjoy doing it.

So I am wondering if anyone recommends Costa Del Mar Sunglasses. If I buy some, they will be for everyday use, such as just wearing them around town, and not for fishing. Will they work? Also, what type of Costa Del Mar sunglasses fit a 14 year old guy with a small-medium face/head?
Costa's are Great, I highly recomend them. They are awesome for fishing and everyday use. as far as the style, look at www.costadelmar.com and choose a couple that you like, go to a store and try those styles on and see which ones you like the most. You will also need to choose a lens color and material. Glass is more scratch resistant but heavier than plastic. as for color it's all about taste and what you like and need.
i stepped on my costa del mar harpoon glasses. the frame bent and one of the lenses shattered. i've had them for less than a year. if i send them in to costa, will they fix it for a minimal charge? or if they won't, can i buy another lense and pop it back into the frame?
You'll have to send them in for repair and it will prob cost around $110 to fix. They will more than likely send you a new pair at a discounted rate. They fix small things, but lenses come in pairs and you aren't able to put them in yourself unless you know something that I don't.
Are all Costa Del Mar sunglasses good for fishing or are certain lense colors better for certain styles of fishing? Personally im looking for a pair that will help with flats, inshore, jetty, and estuary fishing.
I have been fishing competitively for a few years and Costa glasses are my choice. I have a pair of 7 Mile glasses I wear everyday and I fish in a pair of Fluid glasses. Since I have the ability to play with lense color of the Fluid model, I have found that the amber & vermillion colors seem to offer optimum penetration in the water. As for the cost, I would have to agree they are pricy and there are several options that are very good at less of a cost. The main thing that has kept me using Cosat's is I had to send a pair back twice for damage repair. Both times Costa sent me a new pair in a short time. There is something to be said for service like that. You'll be happy with the product if you decide to go with them.
