Sunglasses Cases

I am soon to be purchasing some Oakley Conducts and was wondering what hard protective cases I could buy to protect them. Preferably an Oakley case obviously, but there are different sizes.

You can go with the Large Metal Vault, the Large Carbon Fiber Case, or the Women's Case (although not listed on the website, there are times that Oakley Vault stores will carry a large, white, "Women's" eye wear specific hard case.)

i need a case for my sunglasses but they are too big to fit in regular sized cases and they are always getting scratched/crushed inside my purse--does anyone know of a place that sells large cases that my glasses might fit in to??? and if you dont know what i mean when i say big fat sunglasses, some like these-

Fabric Lined Inside
The inside is lined with very nice fabric
Dimensions: 19" x 15" x 2 1/2"

I have a pair of oversized sunglasses but I can't seem to find a case that big. Any ideas?

Claire's has those little drawstring bags in all different designs and colors, but the only thing is, it won't protect your glasses from being smashed. However, they do have a giant thick glasses case (the Claires in my town doesn't have them anymore) its almost 3 inches tall and its wide AND its hard so if someone sits on it, it won't break your glasses. You can try to find it at Claires, but good luck because like I said the one in my town doesn't have them anymore so they may have taken them off the shelves at all the Claires...

I'm looking for a strip of tin/aluminium (??) that bends when squeezed on either end but then returns back to its original shape.
Is this something that can be bought to make sunglasses cases?

I would guess that they all come from China, look for an importer.

Yes, and it's very simple, too! All you do is make a flat piece of quilting or needlework, fold it in half, and stitch up the end and the side, leaving the other end open for the hole. As to size, measure how long your glasses are when they're folded, add an inch to inch and a half, and then measure around the fattest part, and add an inch to inch and a half for how wide to make it. Since glasses are so widely divergent in size, particularly around the fat part, there is no standard. I have glasses cases that are almost all 7 inches long, and anywhere from 4 to 7 inches around. Of my glasses cases, several are needlepoint and lined with fabric. Others are quilted, both in whole-cloth and piecing. As to the edging, use bias binding tape.
