I wear Oakley Flak Jacket XLJ's. I have also worn Oakley Half Jackets. Both are very comfortable, sturdy, and light. I also love the look. Both reduce glare very well. Many of my players wear them.

Visit Oakley's website and check em out.

Good luck.

What are the right color sunglasses lenses?
Softball pitcher

I am a fastpitch softball player, and I need a good pair of sunglasses. The ones that I have now are good, but basic. The ball is like bright, fluorescent yellow. I see that some glasses have blue, or yellow-orange lenses. Which color would be best to block out other distractions and highlight the ball?
(Some blue lenses can help you see golf balls, so something like that)

Thanks!

Polarized lenses are made to neutralize the effect of glare. A ‘glare’ is caused when the sun’s shining rays reflect off a solid surface or water. A ‘glare’ is typically horizontally polarized. And the lenses are made of vertical polarizers - so Voila! - They effectively neutralize the villainous glare! Advantages of Polarized Sunglasses: Polarized sunglasses are specially made for reducing the harmful effects of glare and eye-damaging light. And they are a perfect boon, for all your outdoor activities.

Wearing a mask in the infield in softball?
Brenda Song

I recently made a travel team and the whole infield and i'm not sure about outfield have to wear face masks to protect them from the ball which I have no disagreement about but are they annoying? Can you wear sunglasses under them? I'm used to masks on the batting helmets and I remember that was annoying and now i'm used to it so is it like that?

The game has changed and it is not all good.
I am not sure I could wear them and play.

  • Review of Julbo Kid's Looping Sunglasses with Cord

We purchased these sunglasses for our two-year old daughter prior to a beach vacation. I had seen children's sunglasses before but had not focused on them much as I didn't think that she could keep them on last summer at ~18 months, so she wore a wide brim hat.At that time I bought a pair of very inexpensive sunglasses that fit with adjustable elasticized straps; these were ok for minimal use but slipped and later on the (inexpensive) lenses popped out! Based on this experience, I wanted to avoid any lense pop-outs, and also find shades that our child could put on -- and that would stay on -- with minimal parental intervention (no straps for me to adjust, etc.).The Julbo sunglasses are "dummy proof" - there is no up/down, so your child can put them on and they'll be the "right way" no matter what. The glasses have no hinges and basically wrap around the wearer's head (but not in an uncomfortable way - we'd hear about it otherwise). These sunglasses are also quite durable: they flex quite...
