Sunglasses or goggles while skiing/snowboarding?

Is it mroe stylish to wear sunglasses or goggles while skiing/snowboarding? This is for a guy.

goggles, but the tint of the goggles depends on the conditions. If it is sunny, where tinted lenses, but if its overcast or foggy, where orange or yellow lenses.

Maybe during spring conditions you can wear sunglasses.

Snowboarding or Skiing with Sunglasses ?

I am going snowboarding tomorrow and I am trying to decide whether or not I should wear my sunglasses or not. They are Oakleys around 80 dollars, so they're nice. I also wear contacts, this is the first time I will be snowboarding with them in, so I don't want them to get all dry.

Good idea to wear the sunglasses? I know the best idea would be to get goggles, but I dont wana go and spend 60$+ on goggles when I am only going snowboarding once or twice. Also, I am a beginner, so I will be falling a lot...

Some snowboarders/skiers wear sunglasses to protect their eyes from the glare of the sun but goggles would be a better choice. If you are going to take it easy with the snowboarding I don't think you have to worry about breaking them, losing contacts, and so on. But if you know that you are going to try move advanced moves then see if you can borrow goggles from a friend. You did say you were a beginner so it depends on how much you want to go for it.

Sunglasses while snowboarding/skiing?

Can sunglasses be won the same way that goggles are?
Just wondering because ive seen a few people around but it doesnt really seem that effective, as in they might fall off/ dry your eyes out

Sunglasses do not cover the eyes fully from the cold. Since they have air gaps unlike snowboarding goggles since they press around your eyes to block cold air from reaching your eyes. I know, my sis and her bf love to snowboard every weekend.

Polarized or non-polarized Oakley sunglasses?

I currently have non-polarized goggles and haven't noticed significant glare issues. However, I'm torn between buying a pair of sunglasses for snowboarding (polarized vs non-polarized). One argument I read for non-polarized is that the "glare" from ice patches may be invisible when wearing polarized lenses. I'm hoping someone with practical and/or expert knowledge on this can help me choose. Also, these sunglasses would obviously be used for daily wear as well. Thanks!

Get a pair of non polarized with a mirror coating. With polarized lenses it is hard to see the ice patches and if you are snowboarding this is not a good thing!!! The mirror coating will help with the "bounce" back glare from the snow but it will allow you to see the ice patches. Polarized lenses are great for everyday use especially driving!!
P.S Oakley has a lens called Ice Iridium that we recommend for our snowboarders and skiers and is available in both polarized and non polarized. Hope this helps!!!
