Im looking at purchasing a pair of Serengeti's, more specifically the Serengeti velocity's. I am a pilot so I would use them mostly for driving and flying. I haven't been able to find a pair to try on so I would have to order them online. I'm just curious whether anyone has had any experience with Serengeti's and if they would recommend them, or maybe a different style other then the velocity.

Good glasses... Their amber tint lenses are about perfect for me. I have had several pairs of Serengettis, used them for driving, flying and sailing and liked them, but I am tough on sunglasses, and have had two pair go over the side during sailboat races, so opted for less expensive Foster Grants... Work as well, but MUCH less costly.

Many years ago, I fell in love with a particular style of Serengeti sunglasses. The style is Santa Fe, elliptical drivers lenses, bronze frames and tortoise-shell arms. I canNOT find them ANYWHERE! (I'm pretty sure that they're simply no longer made, or at least not for the US.) Does anyone know of a place where I can get them?

I have sold both and worn both. I prefer the polarisation of the maui jim and the clarity that they give me. Serengeti is nice, and their polarised version is ok, but I get better glare protection in the car from the Maui Jim. Sorry, Corning.
