Serengeti Aviator Sunglasses

They're like 150.00 a pair. Anyone know where to get them cheaper?

Alright I have been eager to purchase a pair of aviator sunglasses. I know there are brands Oakley, Serengeti and probably many more. I have looked through all sites and feel that a pair of Serengeti sunglasses would be preferable.

As I have a slightly narrower head shape I opted for medium aviator sunglasses.

I am curious as to which lens I should use with my purchase?

I am bright enough to know that polarized lenses are a no-go.

In more than 30 years of flying, I have had at least a half dozen Raybans and Serengettis. Good glasses, but expensive when they get lost/misplaced/mangled.

FYI, you need neither cool shades or a big watch to be a pilot... The most important thing for sunglasses is comfort (including under a headseat if that's an issue), light blocking where it's needed, and clarity. I prefer amber because it seems to provide better definition.

Have found some amber Foster Grants at Walmart for $15 a pair that have become my standard... light, good quality and cheap enuf to buy replacements without calling the credit union.

Polarization can be an issue on some airplanes. In the MD80, polarized glasses create a "checkerboard" on the windows, making them unusable. Same for other airplanes, to the point that I buy normal lenses.

Hey, im a guy and need to get some sunnies, im going to be a pilot so they have to be good quality and awesome looking ;) . Also what do you think about mirrored sunglasses? cause they can be a little intimidating I know I dont like talking to people with them on.

Oooh I love mirrored sunnies, I have a pair. But I always take them off when talking to people, I find it rude not to. Plus you can have a perve LOL.
