I spent all day yesterday at the beach and today my vision is blurred and my eyes very bloodshot. I wore sunglasses all day. Is this a direct symptom of swimming in the ocean salt water or something else?

You can get good UV blocking even with inexpensive sunglasses.Be sure the sunglasses are labeled as providing protection from ultraviolet A and ultraviolet B (UVA and UVB) radiation..

Wear glasses to protect your eyes from wind.


Keep in mind, too, that dark glasses with no UV blocking give you no protection whatsoever. In fact, they boost your risk of eye damage because they dilate your pupils. That lets more light in without blocking the harmful UV rays

Literally everything on the list could be argued for. The vodka would be useful as an antiseptic, the parachute for sun shelter and sand storms, the gun to scare off predators, the raincoat for sun protection and rain or dew collection, the mirror for fire starting and signaling, and possibly predator deterrent, the overcoat for warmth, as the desert can get as cold at night as it does hot in the day, the rest seem fairly obvious in their uses.

Transluscent means you can see light, but no images, like when you hold a piece of paper up to a bright light.

Opaque is an object that does not let light through at all, like a metal can. If you try to look through a metal can, you will not be able to see anything. You may HEAR people laughing at you!
