I am going to a three week sailing camp where we will be on the water at least 5 to 6 hours a day im not sure a 10 dollar pair of sunglasses will do and i will be getting the thing that goes around your neck
Lot of people lose sunglasses when they're sailing. Get the cheap shades from 7-11 for $10 or so.

Apparently there are two pairs, both Ray Ban, RB2140 Wayfarer and the second pair RB3025 Aviators. As these are old styles, may not be available any longer.
Do a general search for Ray Ban aviators or just go for some 'look-a-likes' for example at the link below.

The ones I have in mind are the OIL DRUMS and the OIL RIGS, they are very similar. I just want to know which ones would be better for sailing. I've also been looking at the GASCAN ones, tell me what u think about those for sailing.
It doesn't matter because its the same brand so they are the same glasses but different designs so it will be the same but all you really want is some Oakleys that are polarized.

I am planning to buy a pair of sunglasses for everyday use and also to use when I go sailing. What are the best sunglasses to buy? Are ray bans still the leading sunglasses or even maui jims and oakley's are now more popular? What should I look for when I am purchasing my sunglasses?
You need to go to a Sunglass Hut, or a major distributor of sunglasses that have a wide selection of many different brands.
Ray Bans are a great maker of sunglasses, quality ones at that. If you are looking for quality, the people at sunglass stores will be able to help you tremendously.
You need to always purchase glasses that have UVA/UVB protection. This is common knowledge, but some people still insist on fashion over function because of price.
You should try on many different pairs and see which ones look good on your face shape.
Its very hard, i'm sorry, to tell you what sunglasses you should be getting when I don't know your face shape. I hope this has helped you a little, it's a big investment so I don't blame you for getting all the information you can!
Good luck to you, have fun with it! :)

Eric Boinard is Polaroid Eyewear’s technical expert. He’s the one that ensures the lenses in our sunglasses use the latest technology to eliminate glare, protect from UV rays and stay so lightweight, you’ll forget you’re wearing them. When Eric’s not focused on guiding Polaroid’s technical progress, he spends as much time as possible sailing. Originally from La Rochelle, Eric grew up around boats and retains his passion for all things connected to the sea. He’s about to embark on a Clipper Round the World Race. The race offers non-professional sailors the opportunity to compete in a yacht race. The crews are made up of farmers, teachers, doctors and students – people from every walk of life. For Eric, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He says, “I’ll be pitting my wits against the elements, the oceans and all that they can throw at you. Right now, I’m concentrating on the first leg of the race – which starts from Hull on the 13
