Rx Sunglasses

I have Ray-Bans RB4091 sunglasses, they aren't available as prescription shades, and I love them too much to give them up. They are shield sunglasses, so they have one lens. Is it possible to take them into an eye doctor's office and make them into prescription sunglasses? Maybe some other way? Or would I just have to get contact lenses?

No, there is no way to put Rx lenses in that model.

As you said though, you could wear them over contacts.

I live in Arizona, USA. Iam looking for shops to buy sunglasses for my husband and myself. I am looking for some good sunglasses that i can use while driving. Can someone help me find the right sunglasses at the right place.

My Personal best is shop online a good inexpensive sunglasses range around 20$ to 30$ for driving I would suggest a good pair of polarized sunglasses. I bought one last year as I drive west when going home from work.. Big Sun problem.. check out below link

i dont really care if theyre name brand or anything, i already tried eyebuydirect.com, and they only have real expensive rx sunglasses. im talking $200+, i need some for like under $100 at most. thanks!

Zenni Optical is really cheap, but I've never bought anything from them because it looks like they have a lot of problems with delivery times. My prescription at Walmart was $380. on the Zenni website it came out to like $48.

After loosing my favorite sunglasses, I haven’t been able to find some that don’t give me a headache. Every time I try new sunglasses it feels like I am borrowing someone’s prescription eyewear. I have a 20/20 vision and don’t need rx glasses.

most of those that have optical distortion are "wrap" designs with polycarbonate lenses. either try to avoid "wrap" designs or avoid poly or both...or just keep looking

I need to have safety glasses for work but they never fit me right and the way that normal safety glasses are shaped tend to make me dizzy. I have a pair of favorite sunglasses that I want to replace the lenses with safety lenses. Walmart told me I needed a current RX even though I told them it would be non RX lenses. Does anyone else do this? Can it be done??

Safety glasses, to be legal have to have a safety approved frame also.

There are legal standards that the frame has to meet.

Putting safety lenses into a regular frame doesn't make them safety glasses.

Your company wouldn't allow you to wear them anyway. They could be sued big time if an accident happened to you...and the compensation board wouldn't cover you either.
