Ray Ban Sunglasses

I know that Oakley prescription sunglasses only allow Oakley to make the prescription lenses and am wondering if Ray Ban is the same. Thanks!

Only Oakley can make the Oakley lenses, but you can get other places to do their own things with the frames.

Your main limit might actually be Costco, where they may only do lenses for frames you purchase there.

You could probably call your local Costco optical department and ask them. They do tend to carry some Ray-Bans, so the limitation may simply be that you have to purchase everything through them.

I've been looking for Ray Ban glasses, but there are a few options that I'm confused about. I know Robert Pattinson, Kristin Stewart, and other celebrities has been photographed with a certain Ray Ban style. So I want to know is the RB 2140 (is it also called the Wayfarer?) popular among women? What's the different between the 2140 and the 2132? Which frame is bigger? Also, is there any major sunglass retailer that carries the Classic Wayfarer?

The RB 2140 is the Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer. They are very popular unisex sunglasses, and definitely popular with women, as well as men. They are an iconic look and arguably known to suit everyone's face, and both sexes.

The sunglasses are very popular with celebrities, you can find tons of photos of all types of celebrities with Ray-ban Wayfarer sunglasses.

The difference between the RB 2140, and the RB 2132, also called the New Wayfarer, is in size. The RB 2132 is a little bit bigger in the frame. The RB 2140 is 50/54mm while the RB 2132 52/55mm, these measurements are taken from the Ray-Ban website, which is rayban.com. You can take a look on their website to compare these two. There is hardly a difference between them. You can also get other Wayfarer varieties which are bigger or smaller. But if you want something classic, stick with the Original Wayfarer.

You can find Ray-Bans at any good retailer, and as you said, any major sunglasses retailer will stock these Wayfarer styles. You can get them in many colours, and a few styles. The store Sunglass Hut is a good source.

i love the ray ban sunglasses, audrey hepburn wheres on breakfast at tiffanys and im desperate for a pair! where can i buy some in the u.k for a cheap price? (cheap meaning no more than £30) they sell some in topshop but there £120 and i dont want to pay that much. can anybody help?
