What's the most you have ever paid for a pair of sunglasses?

for me it as a pair of Nikon sunglasses back in the 90's, I paid just over $200 for them and then about a month later my Black Lab sat on them and destroyed them. I now won't pay more than $50 for a pair....lessons learned

Short of $400

Nikon AF 28-80 camera- 8 shape in lens?

I got it a while ago but very soon after there was a shape that looks like two o's next to eachother or like sunglasses and it's blurry and darkish so I haven't been using it- someone said that it might just be a setting - infinity or something- but having not used it in so long i barely remember how to use it well. Does anyone know what this is ?

Unless your are documenting the setting on your camera, just use the cameras focusing aid to assure sharp focus. This could be just using the focusing screen in the viewfinder, the electronic rangefinder in the viewfinder or the actual auto focus feature of the camera.

Unless you are shooting the moon, your focus will be somewhere closer than infinity

need help with manually setting my camera?

im in a photography class at my highschool and i have an nikon 35 mm camera and im just really confused with how to set my camera for pictures. whenever i ask my teacher for help he doesnt help and barely makes any sense. I have to take a picture of my washer and dryer with clothes folded on top of it also the room that its in isnt the brightest room in the house at all and when i tried to take my photo last time i went into the dark room and it kept coming out really dark and kinda blurry. what should i set the F-stops, and shutter speed at or how should i adjust my camera? also how should i set my camera for a photo black on black photo ie. black sunglasses laying on a black rug. please help.

Take the photo during the day, with every single possible light turned on. Use your flash but bounce it (i.e. turn the flash head to the ceiling or a white wall or even some white card board behind you) in order to diffuse the light. Use a reasonably high ISO, a pretty big aperture (small f stop number) and a tripod.

For black on black: if you are on one of the auto or semi automatic settings, the camera will probably over expose the shot. Either go on manual, or use your exposure compensation to dial it down a bit - you want the blacks to remain black, not be all washed out.

What should I get my boyfriend for Christmas?

Now, he has $ to buy himself whatever he wants, but me on the other hand, want to get him something that he'll love....
He has a nice pair of sunglasses that really look good on him, and he's already tried others that don't. He already has like 4 different types of cologne (which he says you can never have enough of). He shops at Express but has so much stuff from there, what if I end up getting him something he already has.....
This is hard.....
He wants this Nikon digital camera (touch screen) but it's more than I can afford.

Any suggestions?

go for something thoughtful. if u have a photography museum there, get tickets to an exhibit. he sounds kinda stylish, find an inexpensive photographer, have him do a shoot and put together a portfolio.
