i know there must be more then it just looking good... but i cant put my finger on it.
and why would he wear them infront of Neo during the scene where he is explaining to Neo what the matrix really is and about Zion.
haha i sound like a nerd.
it symbolized Neo looking back at himself and also how Morpheus saw himself in Neo and Neo in him. The sunglasses were not just a part of " how they see themselves " but relay a connection of the two being from different places but at opposite ends of their potential.
Morpheus knows his mastery and limitations of his powers as well as his purpose that drives him. Neo knows no limits to his or his goals, once he reaches them, he continues to wear the shades throughout his end, Morphues no longer does for the rest of the films.
If you've seen The Matrix and always wondered how his sunglasses worked or where you could get a pair, this video will show you how they work ...
i just want to know who makes them and if i can buy myself a pair.
Gargoyles
I currently have a pair of pince-nez sunglasses (more commonly known as Morpheus' sunglasses in the Matrix movies).
The problem is getting them to stay on. When the weather is mild I can get away with them but as soon as it warms up and the brigde of my nose starts to sweat they slip off.
I've tried a couple of things. The most successful is boob or body tape. I cut that into strips and stuck the strips around the rubber pads that attach to the bridge of my nose. This seems to be reasonably effective, they stay on for the most part, however, it's not ideal. The tape is quite fiddly and time consuming to put on and if too much is used it drags against my eyes and causes irritation.
The second thing I tried is spirit gum. This is used in theatres to attach moustaches etc. to faces. It's very messy and does very little to stick them to my nose.
I'm off on holiday in a week and would love to wear them but I'm beginning to despair! Can anyone help?
why dont you try false eyelash glue.....it quite tacky but you get peel it off easily

Review of Matrix Morpheus Costume Accessory Glasses Sunglasses
Morpheus was the captain of the Nebuchadnezzar, a hovercraft of the human forces of the last human city, Zion, in a devastated world where most humans are grown by sentient Machines and kept imprisoned in the Matrix, a virtual computer-generated world. Morpheus was once a human living inside the Matrix until he was freed earlier in life. The name he may have had while a human in the Matrix is not known.
