Any idea where you can buy a pair? or how much they go for?
ooo... vintage is vintage for a reason. the price can fly as to a few ten thousands. and it's pretty hard to find. although not as difficult as finding a vintage dress, your best bet at finding those Balenciaga shades is vintage stores around fashion capitals.

Thank you to the bottom answerer - they are used, and apparently you are the only literate person here...lol
( y'know, goodwill?! )therefore I thought they may be real. Do people even bother to read?....
Actually, they probably are. Even though everyone else who answered they probably are. Just because they are twenty-six dollars doesn't mean anything. People who donate to Goodwill will donate their things so that people who don't have as much money can enjoy those items. Those sunglasses are real. People donate designer clothes all the time at Goodwill. Goodwill's purpose is to sell items for less. Therefore, those sunglasses are real.

Does anyone find that designer sunglasses pretty much all look the same--there are aviators for D&G and Balenciaga and I wouldn't be tell which pair is from which without looking at the side logo (after all, they are all made by Safilo or Luxottica). People all look exactly the same with their big sunglasses at school just to boast the brand, and the occasional one who wears smaller sunglasses (something unique like maybe vintage Jean Paul Gaultier) really stands out. It also is quite unfortunate that designer sunglasses possibly work even less effectively than the drugstore kind because they are often unpolarized. If you want sunglasses for the sole purpose of blocking the sun, Oakleys and Raybans are the way to go.
Well, yes it is true that MOST designer brands all look the same. Chanel have different styles though and so do dior. I wear the big sunglasses, not to show off the brand, but just because I like how they look on me and to block out the sun. Also, I would NEVER spend 200 something dollars on designer sunglasses. So I buy the fake ones for like 50. haha

This is a part of a story that I have written for young adults/teens. Does it make you want to read it further? Does it seem interesting? I would be happy to recieve comments on it:
She was drop dead gorgeous. The kind of girl that turned heads wherever she went. She had a flawless figure; long slender legs, ample chest, and a generally willowy, slender frame. Her facial features were even more attractive, if that was possible. Hers was a face made for make-up ads with her large, expressive bluish-green eyes, straight, perfect nose, and plush lips. Her head was a beautifully balanced oval shape and her hair was a soft, cascading waterfall of dark, golden blond. She was not your average, run-of-the-mill blue-eyed blonde. She possessed a distinctly unique and exotic aura about her. There was a certain depth to her, a mysterious sort of intelligence, even, in her appearance. It made Clara happy to just look at her. Now Clara wasn’t the sort of girl that became plagued by jealousy upon seeing such great beauty; instead she would admire it. Right now, the goddess was sitting in front of her, looking in another direction. They were both seated at opposing seats in the waiting area of Heathrow Airport. Clara did not care if the goddess was aware of the fact that she was simply staring at her. All she wanted was to look at her, and absorb her beauty. The girl had a faraway look in her eye as the naturally thick, long eyelashes lifted delicately in the direction of the large window. She looked wistful, and gloomy. “Why on earth would she be unhappy?”, Clara thought. “She seems to have everything going for her.” And indeed, besides being genetically blessed appearance-wise, she seemed to be incredibly wealthy too. She was toting the latest Balenciaga bag which would have cost 3 grand at least, and she had Louis Vuitton suitcases. The large pair of sunglasses tucked neatly into her expensive cashmere shirt was by D&G. Suddenly, she seemed to realize that she was in lost in some sort of a reverie, and the girl looked away from the window and caught Clara’s eye. She gave her a small smile and picked up a magazine next to her. Clara felt good that she had smiled at her; by now she was worshipping this unknown beauty, who looked only a little older than her, which was 16 years old. A voice called out, “Ava darling, come. Its time to go.” An attractive middle-aged woman who could only be her mother was calling her. Clara watched somewhat sadly as the girl left, walking gracefully to her mother with her silky blonde hair swaying behind her.
from the first few sentences, not really. nothing appealing to me, like at all. i don't care to hear about somehott slut in a story that's stupid. "absord her beauty" seriously? get real.......
sorry....

Cristobal Balenciaga founded one of the most renowned, successful fashion houses in the world. Born in Spain and apprenticed to a tailor by the time he was thirteen, he found success very early in his career. This was after fitting the Queen Mother, Empress Eugenie, and other aristocratic Spanish ladies. Balenciaga presented his first collection in 1937. Always a step ahead in fashion, he is most well known for introducing hemlines that bared the leg to the knee. He trained and mentored some of todayâs most renowned couture designers, from Givenchy to Ungaro. Even now, almost forty years after his death, he is referred to as The Master. His original collections included only custom apparel. By 1997, the signature scent, introduced in 1946, was joined by a collection of accessories and ready-to-wear clothing. Accessories include handbags, belts, sunglasses and eyewear. As befits its long and distinguished history, some of todayâs most famous personalities wear Balenciaga sunglasses and fashions. Kourtney Kardashian was been seen sporting the Balenciaga oversized gray sunglasses. The frames are gray acetate, in a modified round shape with the gold colored logo on the arms. The lenses are graduated from dark gray to clear. Charlize Theron and Kate Beckinsale each have a pair of the vintage styled Balenciaga sunglasses. Reminiscent of the 1960âs styles, these light acetate eyewear frames have a large butterfly shape. Available in grey, violet pink and blue green, they provide 100% ultraviolet protection. Rihanna showed her retro-urban style when she hit the town wearing her Balenciaga eyewear. Inspired by the original Wayfarer, these teacup-shaped tinted lenses, suitable for both men and women, are set into thin metal frames. The Balenciaga sunglasses worn by Salma Hayek are ultramodern, with their rectangular, slightly wrapped style. They are available in black with gray lenses, or burgundy frames and lenses. If you have seen the commercial with Mary J Blige rocking and morphing from one look to another, you have seen the hippest Balenciaga sunglasses. Ms Blige favors the black frame with grey gradient lenses. If that is not your style, consider the Tortoise look. Halle Barry was seen wearing hers Balenciaga while spending time with her daughter. The Havana brown frame and brown gray lenses are oversized for the ultimate in UV protection. Also available are the Bone and Violet Frames, which both have brown gradient lenses.
