thunder: yes, that seems like a pretty obvious thing to do. however if you purchased them from an exclusive boutique they are most likely real but the boutique will definitely not be listed as one of AMQ's many authorized sellers.

there is a small boutique like this right by my house. the woman purchases and recieves tons of designer clothing and accesories and sells them for not-as-unreasonable prices as they were bought for. she is legit and attends shows and some of her inventory are legit used designer peices from friends and neighbors.

if this is similar to your situation then you should be fine. big-time designers like AMQ have only authorized sellers that are on the same level as them. so that would be neiman marcus, saks, barney's, selfridges, bergdof goodman, maybe dept. stores like macys, loehmanns, nordstrom, etc...

im pretty sure reputable stores like that would not sell a stock of knock-off desginer items right? so if you bought from a store similar to the ones above then you should be fine
