I have a few questions about the new Inspiron Mini 9:
- I want the $399 one with Windows Vista. Here is what its main usage will be: I am a full time student, use IM and the internet alot, and Microsoft (word, powerpoint, excel). It would basically be my main computer. So, what type of additional storage should I buy? Will it be too small for my fingers and to see? (I am 13 with really small hands (I have to reach to reach some keys on a normal key borad.) and wear contacts/glasses.) The main question here is should I get the mid-storage one for my school and fun things. I wouldn't have anything besides:
- documents for school (very few, most things are on paper this year)
- a couple extra things for me (sports records, things for friends, ext)
- AIM
- firefox internet
- Windows XP (comes w/ mini)
- Windows Microsoft (word, powerpoint....)
- the usual firewall things for safety
So my question is is this OK computer to get for this purpose? Do you think the screen will be too small? Memory and Hard drive extras? Thanks
for simple uses like that your looking at around 1gb ram 80+gb hard drive should be suffient 2.0ghz processor and as long as ur using a decent security software suite and are using it reguarly aswell as defragmenting and general maintainence anything over those specs should be fine
A Project I made for War Game, works perfectly, project still under going. this will be the final vid I'll upload on youtube. Cheers
In khakis and a tweed jacket wearing bifocal safety glasses, an anti-static wrist strap with a wire and alligator clip to keep him grounded, nylon and nitrile gloves to combine dexterity, grip, and some protection, a mini flashlight that fits over his ear, a pocket protector filled with various small tools, and big side pockets with calculator, digital multimeter, and various other equipment?
Is that hot or what?
Is wondering how many of the answers are sarcastic.
Sorry, that's just a 3-1/2" floppy.
the bifocals are for magnification doing detail work, not corrective.

I mean, I know we live in the era of stranger danger, child predators, and the troll under the overpass, but for God's sake, we're too paranoid. I know, I'm sounding like such the ignorant kid, but seriously, when I just want to go get a slushie or am sent on a milk run to the mini-mart 2 miles away, why does stepping outside of my tiny suburban neighborhood (full of oldies and little ones... no one that would be an appropriate companion) into a tiny suburban neighborhood with signs of human development suddenly get my parents and I on renegade radar? I ride my bike to the middle school as it's letting out (High school gets out earlier... Yes, high school. as in, some of my fellow students are driving or applying to colleges, VOTING, we can damn sure take a stroll.) for some exercise and get looks from the parent pick-up lane like I'm an abandoned student forced to endure the... sunshine and spring temps rather than see it from the safety of tinted glass?
I want to think this is all in my head, but whenever a friend and I, in need of entertainment and lacking rides, decide to tour small-town noontime America headed for a movie/lunch/fresh air, several times, we have returned to so-and-so's house finding their parents still chuckling at a meddling neighbor's lecture over the monsters on must slay to claim the chili dog, and how can one expect a mere child to cope?
Are we in the weird twilight zone of lost logic, or does anyone else think society needs to chill?
I totally agree. WAYYYY too much paranoia.

Materials Needed:
•All Black Clothes (or whatever you want to wear)
•Mini Cereal Boxes
•Plastic Knifes
•Fake Blood
•Glue
•Safety Pins
Instructions:
Put on the black outfit. Empty the cereal boxes and then glue the tops closed. Stab the plastic knifes into the boxes of cereal, secure with glue if needed. Add some fake blood on the knives and cuts. Pin the mini cereal boxes all over the outfit (If helpful, you may do this before you glue the boxes shut.)
You may even want to put some fake blood around your mouth or maybe stick some pieces of cereal around your mouth.
Shared by Lisa: "I took mini cereal boxes and stab them with the plastic knives. Used red paint for the "blood" coming out of the knives. I also had it dripping down the knives. I used safety pins to attach the boxes to the front and back of the white shirt. Splatter red paint on the shirt to represent more blood. I painted a milk mustache on my face with white face paint and had fake blood coming out of my mouth and on other areas of my face. I also used black eyeliner to write "GOT MILK?" on my cheeks. I mussed up my hair and was out the door."
Materials Needed:
•Cane or Walker
•Post-It Notes
•Pen
Instructions:
On different Post-It notes, write several excuses such as 'My dog ate my homework', 'I'll be washing my hair', 'Cough-Cough...I think I'm getting sick'. Be creative - come up with as many as you can. Stick the Post-It notes all over your shirt (you may have to reinforce them with heavy tape). Grab the cane and go off with a limp if you can. You're now a LAME EXCUSE.
* Put crosses all over the clothes you are wearing. What are you? A cross dresser.
•Hear No, See No, Speak No Evil
•Wear very dark sunglasses and big earmuffs. Put a piece of tape over your mouth. Write on your shirt "Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil."
•Sick and Tired
•Wear a bicycle tire around your neck and put a thermometer in your mouth.
•Raining Cats and Dogs
•Attach an assortment of small stuffed cats and dogs to an umbrella. Wear a rain coat and rain boots.
•Birthday Suit
•Get a pre-packaged birthday kit (tablecloth, hats, plates). Cut a hole in the center of the tablecloth for your head. Staple plates, cups, napkins, etc., on the tablecloth. Put a birthday hat on your head. When someone asks what you are, tell them you are wearing your birthday suit.
•Bed Bug
•Wear fuzzy flannel pajamas and furry slippers. Add some bug antennae on your head.
•Life of the Party
•Wear a lampshade on your head, a loosened tie and carry a martini glass.
•The Second Amendment
•Find a bear costume, cut off the arms and wear them with regular clothes. When asked about your costume, explain that you are the Second Amendment: "the right to BEAR ARMS."
here are a few but id like more if you can thnks in advance.
what are some more costumes like this that i couls were?

The 1992 Honda Civic has:
The engine started out as a basic mini-me swap(d15block, d16z6 head) I had the head and block milled, the car has 12:1 compression with 11 pounds of boost, je rings, pistons, crank micropolished, clevite race bearings, gsr water pump, skunk2 cam, aem cam gear, aem fuel rail, aem fuel filter, nology plug wires, zex spark plugs, jackson racing supercharger w/ 10psi pulley modified, new drive belt, stand alone fuel management run by an apexi controller, 03 mustang cobra fuel pump, gsr injectors, dc 4-1 header, obx exhaust, fluidyne radiator, lightened flywheel, centerforce stage 3 clutch, taylor battery relocation kit. I just put a new Optima yellow top battery and new alternator in.
HAS AROUND 300 HP AND 298 LB,FT TORQUE
This one needs paint job and interior work. Talk hims down to 5,000 for it.
1994 Civic has:
Built d16z6 SOHC VTEC, JE pistons, Eagle H connecting rods, billet stroker crank, Skunk 2 Vtec cam, AEM cam gear and fuel pressure regulator, Endyne valves and retainers, OBX racing intake, T3/T4 kspower turbo charger(20lb), , Koyo radiator, OBX silicone hoses, NGK plugs and wires, Chrome catch can and valve cover, high flow fuel rail and walboro 255lph fuel pump, under hood fuel pressure gauge, 450cc fuel injectors, chrome fire extingusher, stage 3- 6 puck Clutchmaster clutch and 8lb flywheel, stock ign, Greddy boost controller, urethane engine mounts, 3" turbo back exhaust with a glass pack split into 2 in back, cometic head gasket, head studs, safety lock open thermostat
HAS 375 HP AT WHEELS
A few dings and maybe 600 in extra work, He wants 9,500
BOTH CARS HAVE UNDER 5K MILES ON ENGINE AND TRANNY, EITHER REBUILT OR BLUE PRINTED.
Which would you choose.
compression on 94 is unknown.
and added, i am not trying to race either, would baby the hell out of whatever one i buy, more into the whole show car thing and not the tracks.
more info on the 94
t needs to be tuned in and have the valves adjusted--Idles high until it warms up--the sideskirts need to be molded in and there is alittle dent in the front pass fender from a broken ball joint--bottom strut bar for the back needs to be painted and mounted--one of the rims has a little dent from a pothole but not too bad at all
i would say the 94 and if its a boost car u dont want a ton of compression or u will have fun with miss fires. the 94 is also better because i know i wouldnt want a supercharger on a 4 cylinder because u make 10psi u lose 2-3psi throught the engine to power it. turbos are pure power adders

Safety Goggles Review: Radians, Dewalt, Uvex

Some hobbyists and DIYers risk eye injury and occasionally forego wearing safety goggles, with the most common excuse being that they’re uncomfortable to wear. While safety glasses can sometimes be an appropriate alternative, and are certainly better than nothing, there are times when goggles are required.
The goggle styles discussed in this mini-review are exceptionally comfortable, and nobody that has followed our recommendion of them has ever regretted their coice (yet).
We are sometimes asked about which brands or styles of safety goggles we recommend, and the answer is always the same: by far, our favorite goggles are the: Radians Cloak, Dewalt Concealer, and Uvex Flex Seal goggles.
Radians Cloak & Dewalt Concealer Safety Goggles Dewalt’s Concealer goggles are actually rebranded Radians Cloak goggles, so the two styles are interchangeable, with the only differences being cost, availability, and color scheme.
