Safety Glasses drop test
I just bought this house and it burns wood but there is this huge ugly looking metal black box in it, which is where we have to put the wood and close the doors, you can't even see the wood inside of it, I dont know too much about this but im wondering if i can get rid of this box and have a set of nice glass doors put in so it for the safety part...obviously i would call a pro to do it, but will it be expensve?
thanks!
Yes you can remove it, it sounds like a wood burning insert. They are 50 times more efficient, but they usually do not have glass to see the fire. Up North, keep the insert and replace later with a pretty one. Down South, you can convert back to a real fireplace.
FIRST: Have a professional check out the chimney, it may be cracked and the previous owner put in the insert. Chimney repair is very expensive, so the insert is the best fix. They may of had a flue insert, (inserted into the chimney), and that needs a new connection to the fireplace.
Have a pro look it over, a chimney fire is no funny thing.

Ok, well, to begin...
Me and my friends (were all around 13-14 years of age) just got into airsoft, but we've been using guns ranging 240-300 fps. Yopu know the cheap 'child play' guns.
Well, we really enjoyed it and some of us are getting really good guns.
Me, for examle, am getting a full metal m4a1 carbine that shoots 400 fps with a 300 round magazine.
But i watched a video of it shooting, and it seemed, well, dangerous. It left dents in a shaving creme can and exploded a kiwi with a burst or so on automatic.
My point it, I dont want to get this gun (and some of us are getting even stronger guns, the best being 480fps), and open up in the moment at point blank and really hurt somebody.
This may sound REALLY stupid, but im just watching out for safety.
We all wear safety glasses, hoodies and jeans when we play.
Any opinions?
Paintball has a rule where under 10 feet you demand that they surrender, and they have to. Keeps people from really getting hurt.
I work for a company that makes and sells explosives to the military. I was out and we detonated a explosive that have a thin brass casing. i was being stupid and wasn't behing the safety glass. I piece of very hot metal has been embeded in my eye. I cant feel it but when i look in the mirror i see it! should I go see a eye doctor to get it out?
NOTE: IT IS EMBEDDED IN MY EYE AND AND IS STICKING IN THE COLORED PART OF IT.
Why aren't you in theemergency room instead of here asking such a foolish question?
GO get there now before you lose the sight in that eye. You are still here. GO NOW, GET.

How to Paint a Metal Bed Headboard | DoItYourself.com
A metal bed headboard is a timeless classic. Whether you bought yours, or inherited it from a family member, chances are it needs freshened up. Then again, maybe you are just redecorating and want to change the color. In a weekend's time, you can give your metal headboard a fresh new look.
Supplies Needed: Drop cloths Paint remover (for metal) Paint scraper Ventilator mask Safety glasses Rubber gloves Rags Fine steel wool Primer Paintbrush Spray paint (for metal) Clear coat spray Step 1 - Prepare Your HeadboardFirst, remove your headboard from your bed and take it to an area that will allow you plenty of room to work, like your yard or garage. Lay the headboard on the drop cloth. Be sure to stow away any screws or bolts you'll need for later reassembly. Get out your paint remover, ventilator mask, and safety glasses.
Step 2 - Remove Debris and Old DirtWearing your safety glasses, rubber gloves, and ventilator mask, open the paint remover and use the applicator to get a good coat all over one side. After you have covered the entire side, allow it to sit on the headboard for 20 to 30 minutes. The remover will melt the paint allowing it to scrape off easily. When time is up, use the paint scraper to gently scrape the melted paint off. Take it off in long strips, not pressing to hard so you do don't scratch the metal beneath. To get into any hard to reach areas, use fine steel wool to gently loosen the finish, then wipe. If you still have some paint left on the headboard, repeat the process in those areas. Next, turn your headboard over and repeat this process on that side. After you have both sides done, you are ready to apply primer.
