I hate paintball masks because they always get so foggy and the foam around the lens makes me sweat and then the sweat covers my lens and everything is blurry. it takes too long to take off the mask and wipe off the inside. I was thinking about getting a half ski mask that would cover my mouth, nose and ears. Then I was going to wear some z87 safety glasses for eye protection. With the safety glasses i could quickly take them off and wipe them if i had to which i dont think i would......I have tryed anti fog lens and spray. i also tryed the mask fans and nothing works......is the ski mask safety glasses setup safe enough? what do you guys think?
if i had to take off my safety glasses to quickly wipe them i would look down while wiping them so my eyes are out of sight
i tried a thermal lens and there is no difference.....it only helps the fogging problem buy my sweat still gets on the lens because it is soo hot.....then my lens is blurry
Not really, no. The full force of a paintball into those glasses will most likely cut your nose/face, and the splatter will still be able to blind you, or cause serious injury. You imagine a volley of shots into your face - the first one knocks the glasses aside/off, the second and third splash your eyeball into your brain and it's game over.
Fog / condensation can be avoided by smearing a tiny bit of dishwashing liquid soap stuff onto a tissue, and then inside the goggles. It creates a layer between the moist air and the plastic so the water vapour won't stick to it.
Don't take any chances with paintballs, you'd spend the rest of your life regretting it.
