Where Can i find Clear Colored Fog Free safety glasses For High school Automotive Technology class?Not Glass.Nothing Fancy.Just plain .The one's we buy from the school fog up and the class get steemy.doesnt matter if i have to order them on or off line.Any suggestions would be helpfull.Thanks Cess
They Have to be the clear one's because they have to be approved by the school's saftey code's and rule book.

i suggest using the reg ones and using shaving cream on the lenses. it works great on my bathroom mirror.

Yes. Safety glasses are essentially polycarbonate material with the thinnest portion of the lens meeting a specific requirement. Your optician will know how thick it has to be. To this you can have added the transitional lens treatment that will make the lenses reactive to sunlight. I have exactly this type of lens in a pair of glasses I use for surfing.

I'm a Chemistry major, so I've decided I should get some saftey glasses that I really like. I want some with a lime green frame (or any other neat colors) and clear lenses... I HAVE SEARCHED EVERY SAFETY WEBSITE I KNOW... and I know they are out there because a girl in my lab has them - but she doesn't know what brand they are. Any help here???

Today I was doing A LOT of tacking with the MIG. I wasn't really thinking and I just had my clear, not shade, safety glasses on and was closing my eyes.
Now it looks like I just got back from a ski trip (-my cheeks and forehead are red, but not around my eyes) and my eyes are a little sore. However, that could be from not getting enough sleep.

Closing your eyes will not save you. There is nothing worse than burnt eyelids. This point can not be emphasised enough. Arcs are dangerous! The UV they put out may be the worst source of UV you will ever receive. We already know that UV burns from the Sun can lead to cancer many years later. Arcs are worse. Don't avoid the safety gear. Eye damage alone can lead to either loss of sight or reduced function later on. Your ability to earn a living relies heavily on your eyes. I know many welders that after many years of welding (and many flashes) end up with virtually no eyesight.

I want to use crushed windsheild glass (cleaned of course) as makeshift, and free, aquarium rocks for my small beta tank. is this safe for the fish? the idea is a clear rock solution that is safe and cheap, so i can put led lights under the tank for awesome effect.

NO..... my god..its sharp.... they could easily fillet themselves... just buy glass rocks made for fish tanks....ask around.... dont put crushed glass of any sort in a tank.....
