Does anyone know where to get cute and cheap glasses frames?

I want some new cheap but of course cute glasses frames. Does anyone know where do get some? I have a prescription NOT reading glasses and I have to pay for them myself my parents wont so they have to be allowance affordable =]!

Sears. I'm serious. Buy them when there's a sale usually, frames are half off so you could get designer for half the price, but you still have to pay for lenses though. I got mine(Ray Ban) for $60 plus lenses.
I know it's tempting to get it online, since they're so cheap but get them at a store so you can try them on and see how they fit your face.

Lesson: My brother got glasses online and he ended up not really liking them because they didn't really frame his face and they were so heavy.

Walmart is okay, but Sears has better glasses, as in cuter and trendier(I hear, frameless is in)
But that's my opinion.

Good luck finding the perfect pair.

Where in Melbourne to get glasses?

Hi. I think I might need to get reading glasses. I've never had to worry about this before. Would anyone know an affordable (cheap cheap) place to have my eyes tested and get specs if neccessary? ....in the Melbourne area?

I doubt if you'd get glasses for free even with a pension card. I get mine from the College of Optometry in Carlton (near the RTA office) and they charge about $30 for the cheapest frames.

Why does President Obama keep trying to blame former President Bush for the Economic Crisis?

- - - - - The Administration saw this coming, and Barney Frank and Democrats blocked it. Seems we all forgot... - - - - -

Sept 11th, 2003 - NY Times' Stephen Labaton

The Bush administration today recommended the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis a decade ago.

Under the plan, disclosed at a Congressional hearing today, a new agency would be created within the Treasury Department to assume supervision of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the government-sponsored companies that are the two largest players in the mortgage lending industry.

The new agency would have the authority, which now rests with Congress, to set one of the two capital-reserve requirements for the companies. It would exercise authority over any new lines of business. And it would determine whether the two are adequately managing the risks of their ballooning portfolios.

The plan is an acknowledgment by the administration that oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- which together have issued more than $1.5 trillion in outstanding debt -- is broken. A report by outside investigators in July concluded that Freddie Mac manipulated its accounting to mislead investors, and critics have said Fannie Mae does not adequately hedge against rising interest rates.

- - - - - On page two of the article is the defense of Barney Frank and Melvin L. Watt - - - - -

Significant details must still be worked out before Congress can approve a bill. Among the groups denouncing the proposal today were the National Association of Home Builders and Congressional Democrats who fear that tighter regulation of the companies could sharply reduce their commitment to financing low-income and affordable housing.

''These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis,'' said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. ''The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.''

Representative Melvin L. Watt, Democrat of North Carolina, agreed.

''I don't see much other than a shell game going on here, moving something from one agency to another and in the process weakening the bargaining power of poorer families and their ability to get affordable housing,'' Mr. Watt said.

Barney Frank - ''These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis,''

We know what happened, please explain to me why we allow the lying? We seem to have forgotten everything that has happened in the last 8 years.

- Highest Point in Market History - 14,164.53 on October 9th 2007 (we sit in the high 7,000's today, a little over 50%)

- 2003-2007 - Biggest Bull Market in history

- 1999 - Glass Steagall bill (created FDIC and regulated banking and loaning,) Clinton Admin removes limits on a bank or holding company from owning other financial companies

- 2007 - Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae holds $81 billion cash against loans and loan guarantees of $5.3 trillion, (half of the Mortgages in US

- 2008 (March) Defaults Begin in Mortgages

- 2008 (July) - Bear Stearns a holding company fails on Mortgage Backed Securities / Fannie and Freddie fall 45% and 47%

The best economy in history, follow by the fall of Freddie and Fannie...

Please explain where the above leads to former President Bush? Please don't post if you do not at least read the article.
Thank you.
READ THE ABOVE FIRST!!!

Bear Stears failed on Mortgage Backed Securities guaranteed by Fannie and Freddie. This was July of 2008, after the best years in market history.

THE HIGHEST POINT IN MARKET HISTORY WAS OCTOBER 9th 2007... THE CLOSE WAS 14,164.53...

These are facts!!! Look them up!!!

It was a combination of these things. President Bush wanted to reform the Mortgage act by regulating either fannie or freddie. The Glass Steagall Bill was holding the Federal Government from doing this. This is about the time that they started calling Bush King Bush. He was a good business person. This did not lead to former President Bush. It is just a way of passing the buck so the other party looks bad.

I realize there are a lot of hard workers in the USA but when Congress raised minimum wage to 7.25 per hour this hurt the small businesses. The same Congress that rushed the 100 hours through are still present and accounted for. They are the law makers, not the president.

Have you had laser eye surgery ?

If you needed bi focals, ie, two prescriptios, one for distance and one for reading, did you still have to get another pair of glasses? How much did it cost? Did you feel ripped off? The high street optician where I`m considering having it done lured me in with affordable looking prices but after a consultation told me it was going to be £3495. I was a bit dissapointed.

I had LASEK surgery December 2006, one eye was £935 and the other £1050. The price Ip aid was cheaper than I was first told, they offered me 10% if I paid a deposit there and then. Previously I wore contacts and glasses, it is the best money I have ever spent and wish I had it done a lot earlier in my life.

I feel like people/dating/popularity in High School is immature. Do you? PLEASE ANSWER!!! =)?

I'm a freshman, but I'm not happy. It feels like I'm the only one who cares about my academics and dosn't care about impressing. Here are some grievances I have. Sorry If they're rude, but I'm just so mad right now!!

*Ditzy people: The girls seem ditzy and too obsessed with materialistic things. They need to grow up.

*Popularity: Please, like I'm going to kiss the @ss of other students to be more liked. I'm secure without codependence.

*Dating: I don't think declaring you love someone 2 days after learning their name is really genuine. I hate how people always go "Do you have a boyfriend?!?!?" and stuff like that like it's an effin trophy. People at my school actually date the hottest people just to become popular! Ugh!

(I’d like to add that some relationships can be serious, but I’ve only seen one like that.)

*Sports: I’d like to actually see someone put "I can run a 40 yard dash in 4.8" on a college app. I realize you want to be fit, and it may be fun, but it's taken too seriously. People are always talking about who the best players are ect ect. Enjoy the game and worry about banging the blondes after they get tested.

*Cheating (Academically): I had the "Popular" advisory class last year. There were 5 students who would come in and ask "Did we have any Spanish homework? Did you do that packet?" And people would help them so they'd become more popular. If you didn't help them, they'd whine and gossip.

In fact, I never saw them come in with finished papers...

*Stereotyping: I wore glasses, played games, loved computers, and got strait A's last year. I got stereotyped as a wimp since I have chronic asthma and can't gain weight (It's hard to believe but it's true). People were always trying to act big and tough to get me to share homework or test answers. Some football player got in a fight with me since I wouldn’t help him write a HTML page. He tried to punch me in slow motion. I just moved a bit and sucker punched him. He cried.

*Attitude: Just because you have a couple more friends (and they aren’t trophies, don’t say they are.) doesn’t mean you’re better then me.

*Clothes: I don’t mind if you wear stuff from a thrift store IMHO. If you wear 70$ Abercrombie and Holister shirts, you’re trying too hard. I don’t mind AE and Aero since they’re extremely comfy and affordable.
To girls, please be more conservative. Don’t stuff your boobs, wear XXS’s instead of a M, and tie back shirts.

*Skating: Don’t wear a million Bam Margta (SP?) Element T-Shirts if you havn’t even stepped on a board. I think power to you if you wear skater style clothes, just don’t wear like skateboard brand products because they’re popular. Element, DC, and DGK for example shouldn’t be worn if you don’t know what they are.

*Rebelling: I’d like to see you try. See what it does to your freshman year. My sister bombed hers since she was rebelling to fit in.

*Drugs: Don’t poison yourself because it looks cool, or they did it on MTV.

*Music: Don’t listen to what you don’t like, and don’t criticize taste. If someone likes Techno/Rave, let them be.

Rap is very unoriginal, in my opinion. Don’t listen to Rap songs that have a million curse words at church (This happened, actually.)

*iPhones: You have to be kidding if you think this is actually a good deal. These are REALLY expensive and have crazy bills. Don’t buy them, buy normal iPods. A 200$ ipod and 100$ phone + 20 a month is better then 400$ + 100 a month (What my sister’s average bill is).

Anyway, thank you very much for reading this, if you did. I had to get this off my chest so bad. I’m going insane.

I’m sorry if I’m stuck up or any of these opinions annoy you. I'm so mad :(

all of this is true.

Luckily I'm at a grammar school, so a lot of the chumps have been filtered out. My group of friends is the largest in the school, and we all rate intelligence very highly. We would probably be traditional style nerds at other schools though. (love games, play D and D and Magic, compete in national maths / engineering / music competitions) also spend summer holidays looking after disabled children

I think that my awesome group of friends has definitely helped me succeed by encouraging academic / social development, and i really pity people who don't have the chances i have because of this.

When we get a pair of plastic frame bifocal reading glasses, there are several advantages that are available. The first aspect is clear vision provision. As widely known by the public, bifocal reading glasses provide more help than regular reading glasses. Those conventional reading glasses can only offer clear vision for people who have presbyopia within the near vision zone. In other words, a pair of ordinary reading glasses is designed to provide vision correction on close up objects. The things that are beyond the near vision range are out of the control by a single pair of reading spectacles. One fact associated with most of the presbyopic elder individuals is that they still suffer from nearsightedness which formed probably in their childhood or at a young age.

Nearsightedness as a form of refractive error is beyond the capability of regular reading glasses which do not have corresponding power. This makes the magic function of bifocal reading glasses exceptionally notable. In addition to presbyopia correction, plastic frame bifocal reading glasses come with also nearsightedness correction. Prescription lenses equipped in bifocal frames are made with more than one lens power. To be precisely, a bifocal lens has both a plus power and a minus power. Two different parts of a single lens incorporate different powers and thus are able to provide respective forms of vision correction.
