The "S" series HDTVs from Sony operate at 60 Hz refesh rates. Its not until you get to the "W" series before you get a 120 Hz refesh rate.

Ultra zoom compacts 7x or more, opinions?

I have narrowed my choice to 3 somewhat weird cameras, the Nikon Coolpix S10, Samsung L77, and Pentax Optio Z10. They get generally good reviews from regular people and mixed from reviewers. I want simplicity, the big zoom, ability to carry in a purse, and the controls icons large enough to read without my -2 glasses. L77 is said to have black on black! I have seen and not liked the Panasonics. 3x and 5x are not an option. Don't laugh but I currently have two FD Mavicas. Any suggestions for others? Opinions? I can't find a review of the Ricoh R10 yet, but the R8 got worse-than-usual mixed reviews. Thank you.

Make sure you are looking at optical zoom. Optical zoom is good digital zoom not so much .

I'm smoking salvia for the first time. Heres what I'm doing, any more advice or maybe warnings about my plans?

Well, as I speak, a sampler package is coming in the mail containing 1 gram of each, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, and a half ounce of dried leaves. I will be smoking with my friend on th 26th, he is my closest and most trusted friend, as I am his, so that covers trip sitters, also we have a comfortable and relaxing place to use it. He has a big, naturally lighted room, with 2 couches, a glass topped table (which I will be moving away from the couches) and the whole room is dedicated to meditation, yoga, etc. So its a very calm area with no distraction. I've researched numerous pages on its effects, and even read people's trip stories. So I know the multiple things to expect, but theres otherthings I was wondering about, one thing is how well salvia will synergize with other substances, like alcohol, cigarettes, umm.. and we'll say puff puff leaves being smoked at the same time. Thats the main thing I want to know.

Also! On a less serious note, I want some music advice. I plan on making multiple playlists with different genres of music to listen to for each trip. Examples would be happy and carefree music, (Example being The dirty heads - Stand tall), techno, both heavy and deep, to quick and speedy, Bands like Jamiroquia/matis yahu/bob marley, classical violin, and last but not least, music like this (Example : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8Y8BSzPi UI ) This is what I plan on doing to celebrate the hollidays. And if anyone has any addons or warnings, or just wants to comment, I'm free to it.

Salvia is so strong (well at least extracts 20x and up) that mixing it with anything else would do nothing. So I suggest just stick to Salvia and don't mix. I believe you'd be wasting the other substances if you mix them with Salvia Divinorum.

Sounds like you have a good plan. Being with your closest/most trusted friend and being in a calm environment with a calm sense of mind is the best way to go about it. For your first time I'd suggest no music. The less distractions, the better. Also, you should do it one after the other, not at the same time. If you're both trippin then who's the sober sitter to supervise if anything goes wrong..

I did it the same way as you. Most trusted friend, in a relaxed environment with a calm and open mind, not being nervous or scared and it was amazing. The most amazing experience of my life actually. I tried Mazateca extract (http://www.SalviaSociety.org) and after the second hit I lost complete sense of self. I had no body, no mind, nothing, but pure energy. I was just flowing freely throughout the universe. I felt as part of God the source of all. It was pure nirvana. If that's what death is, I welcome it!

As to correct way of smoking, again I recommend this site: http://www.SalviaSociety.org it has a lot of info, videos, forums, instructions, etc. Check it before you wreck it!
Basically, you must use a water pipe and you must use a torch lighter (blue flame, not regular yellow flame). You also must hold it in for at least 20 seconds. The guy up there who said it's a myth is talking nonsense. It's extremely important that you inhale a lungful and hold for as long as you can, but no less than 20 seconds. Then right after inhale a second hit. Then in about 2 mins the most intense effects will hit you.

I personally suggest you start with the highest extract. I tell you why. That way there is no way out or a chance of panicking. If you start out with a weaker extract you might chicken out when the trip starts and freaking out would only harm you by making your trip unpleasant. But if you start out with the highest dose, then it'll be so intense, you'd have no way of escaping it and you'd just surrender to the experience. Thats how i did it. Another site I suggest for super strong extract (that one you actually see the active ingredient on the outside!) is: http://www.SalviaCult.com Ive never tried anything as intense.

  • Jerdon JGL9W 5X Magnification Tri-fold Lighted Mirror « Makeup

This morning my husband and I had a discussion about mirrors. I just turned 55, just got my first pair of real, full-time, long overdue, eyeglasses to replace those reading glasses I have lived in denial with for so long. For a little makeover I got a new hairstyle and, with my new hair and glasses look, I now want to spruce myself up and start wearing makeup more often again too. I discovered though, that you couldn’t wear the glasses and apply eye makeup. So I was back to where I was before, not caring about putting on makeup because I simply can’t see to apply it. I mentioned, to hubby, I now needed a magnifying mirror. This got started when my husband was looking for a hand-held mirror (for another, non-grooming reason) this morning. At that time I also remembered that back in the late 60’s and early 70’s, my mom had given me a, variable lighted, standup, swiveling, magnifying, makeup mirror, similar to this style. I think it was a GE brand. I loved it. They...
