Can I change my glasses with the same prescription as the old ones?
Man with Sunlasses

I don't my eyeglasses anymore. I bought those dark wide rimmed (fashion) glasses about a year ago. I was in college, but now I graduated and I'm looking for a job. And I would like to change them with something less noticeable, something more conservative looking.

Is it possible for me to just take my old glasses, buy new frames and ask them to make the lenses with the same prescription as the old ones? ( I don't actually have the paper, so is it possible for them to just get this measurements from my old pair)

or do I need to get my eyes checked again?

They can measure your lenses and get your prescription from that. They might suggest an exam since it's been a year. If you're looking to transfer the lenses from one frame to another, it would have to be to a smaller frame. If you're just looking for a new pair but with the same prescription, they can use your old ones to get it. Or, you might be able to just get that information from the doctor who did your last exam. Good luck.

Assuming that you are single, do you smile or make eye contact with a guy that looks interested in you?
A cat is posed seated on a chair in front of another cat operating a camera.

I never have (partially because I am old-fashioned and I broke my glasses and am practically blind). If you are married, did you do it when you were single?
I laugh! Optical came up as a suggestion for what category to put this question under!

I usually make eye contact and smile with most people I come across--young, old, men, women, homeless. If someone is following me around or seems pushy, then I make sure I don't look at him or smile to give him the wrong impression--that is if I don't find him interesting. If I find him interesting, then I smile and may make a comment or two.

which is the better pair of eye glasses?
Golden Days Of Old

I have here two options. I'll provide photos of each. one is from YSL made out from titanium and plain black. The other is made by Zara, more stylish but lesser in durability I think.

Although my first love is the Zara glasses, im having trouble choosing between the two.

This is for the Zara glasses: http://mykaelaopticalshop.multiply.com/p hotos/album/31/ZARA_frame

This is for the YSL: http://mykaelaopticalshop.multiply.com/p hotos/album/8#

You may want to check out the Bvlgari as well: http://mykaelaopticalshop.multiply.com/p hotos/album/32/Authentic_BVLGARI_eyeglas s_frame_open_once_again#

I am 20 years old and very "korean-looking" with asian skin (meaning yellowish). From my previous glasses, i know that I am partial to square frames or even frameless as long as it's square. It's better for my face i think.

I dont have any trouble with fashion and I love yellow.

Please help.
I am not the one wearing the glasses. :D and i change frames every year i guess but this is the first time im buying a high end pair though so it will probably last more than the others.

I really like the Zara glasses--very unique looking.
2nd choice is the Bvlgari. The YSL are ok, look pretty much like everyone elses, though.

Another thing to consider is, how long do you usually wear your frames before you change again? If you change often--why pay more for a frame that will last a long time if you're going to get tired of it anyway?

The Zara's are really cute and stylish!

which pair of eye glass frames look the best to you?
Lady In A Floral Gown Holding A Fan.

Ok, for the longest I have worn the black framed horn rimmed glasses that are super popular now. I mean everywhere you go, you see people wearing these but i want to try something that is less trendy. I am 21 yrs. old and want something that's still cute and not old fashioned. Which frames do you think look the best?

Are these stories good?
Nora

is this a good introduction n wt grade is it? :
Neil Baxter was the kind of boy that would never get in trouble. He was in year10 now and had not been told of once. Most students when it’s the last period can’t wait to get out of school. But Baxter looked forward to the very first lesson the next day. Obviously this made him unpopular. In the corridors people would push him and slander him, “get out my way Baxter”, “where’s your homework Baxter? “Forgot your homework Geek! Baxter had a tidy appearance, with slicked back hair, like the type of hair Geeks have in Hollywood movies, his pants would always be above his ankles and up to his waist. He had brash shoes which were always polished and never had a scratch on them. He had old fashioned glasses on with tape wrapped around them, he had broken them 18 times whilst tripping over which was a miracle seen as he tripped over every day due to his clumsiness.
One gloomy and rainy afternoon in History Whilst Baxter was finishing off his History essay the head teacher walked in with a fuming look on his face. Mr Martin was the sort of teacher that nobody wanted to get on the wrong end of. He had a broad chest and an intimidating face as if it was belonged to a military general. He was a short man, no longer than 5 foot. He looked at the class, eyes fixed on everyone, nobody blinked. He took a deep breath and started talking, surprisingly enough, calmly. “Two boys in this class I feel really sorry for” His eyes turned from pupil to pupil. “Two boys in here know what I’m talking about, own up now and there will be little hassle, two minutes, or else” He said those last two words with a wry smile.
Two minutes Baxter’s life flashed before his eyes, “Baxter and Emmanuel! Come with me please” The whole class was shocked, “Baxter? “That little geek, he won’t touch a fly”. Baxter didn’t know what to say as he and Emmanuel walked with Mr Martin to his office.

is this good..hw cn i improve?

When someone tells you that your house is haunted believe them because you don’t want to make the same mistake that a boy called Dillon Baxter made. Dillon was a kind of boy that never declined a dare in his entire life. He was a naughty, popular young boy who was always up to some mischief. Baxter was in year 10 and had a messy appearance, with hair as spiky as a thorn bush and a defiant smile. He always had his pants half way down and could always see his boxers! You could call him a bad boy!

It all started one dark murky Saturday evening when Baxter’s parents left him home alone in their new house with his younger brother Michael to do some shopping. Michael was a much behaved boy who was always on his best behaviour. “Now then, you two better behave and no sleepovers because we’ll be coming home very late “Exclaimed Baxter’s dad. “Oright dad! Chill out!” Sighed Dillon. When Baxter saw them turn their car away he thought yes. “It’s time too paarrrrrrtyyy! Whoop!” “But dad said to behave!” Said Micheal quietly as if he were about to shed tears any minute. “Oh shurrup you lil brat!”
Baxter got out his mobile phone which his parents didn’t know about and stated ringing all his friends calling them over for a sleep over. It was nearly 10:00 and his friends finally arrived. “What took so long?” “We went to get some midnight snacks!” They shouted happily.
“ooo I do like some sweeties” Baxter raising his eyebrows. The party was in full swing, with a blend of chav music plying AT FULL VOLUME. Then, all of a sudden cry arose, which tickled the eardrums of everyone, “Where’s Michael? He still hasn’t got us a bottle of coke”
“He’ll be coming in a bit” said George another one of Baxter’s mates.

But what they didn’t know that he had been gripped by someone or something.

As the party carried on with the loud music, dancing, smoking and eating. Billy muttered “Shhh what’s that noise?”
“What noise you idiot? I can’t hear anything” Replied another friend of Baxter’s.
Suddenly Michael stormed in with a terrified look on his face. He was panting like a dog and had sweat dripping on his cheeks. His hair was like cats in cartoons when they get scared.
“G-g-g-g-g-ghoosssssssssssssssssstttttttttttttttttt!”
There was a chilled silence in the room. Everyone looking blank at his face. After a few seconds the silence was broken by laughter.
“There’s no such thing as ghosts you moppet.”
“N-n-n-no I’m serious. This house is haunted!” He stuttered in fear.
No one believe

I prefer the first one because immediately it makes you feel sorry for Neil and his stereotypical appearance. In the second one I find I can compare Dillon with most of the guys in my year that want to appear 'hard' and 'cool'.
For the second one I advise taking it a bit slow, you seem to give away a bit too much in the story. Also, when you're writing the part where someone, I think it was Michael, saying ghost, maybe you should put some closing speech marks at the end.
I would say for the first one the grade would be something like a C and for the second one, again a C.
Hope you don't mind.

  • The Changing Of Sun Glasses Being Symbol Of Vogue : janelle

There have been at least three countries who have claimed that they first invented glasses. 500 years ago, some Spanish missionaries mentioned in their books that they brought glasses back from China, but it is a pity that there is no tangible object as a proof. Another version goes like that: 500 year ago, Eskimo used a kind of goggles that were made of wood. Actually, there were two seams on a long plank, which surely can`t be viewed as sunglasses.

A believable saying is that the modern sunglass was invented by Europeans. The image of Douglas MacArthur, the U.S. general of air force, with a corncob pipe in his mouth and a pair of AO dark glasses, has been deeply rooted among the people At the same time, more and more hollywood stars have begun to be fond of wearing this kind of dark glasses. Thus sunglasses have come into fashion widely among broad masses and in this way the pilot style glasses have become a forever classic.

In 1950s, Elvis Aron Presley`s music was conquering the world. His iconic ducktail hair style, as well as his dressing up of wearing sunglasses in goose egg style with a piece of downward-pointing triangle iron, was being imitated by a crowd of young people. In 1960s, a vigorous movement of music culture led by the Beatles swept the entire world, and at the same time buried the Presley Dynasty completely.
