Crystal/Glass/Acrylic Clear Beads' Curtains...?
(Untitled)

Hi, I am looking for these decorative clear crystal, glass or acrylic beads strung together with small steel rings. Pictures as below, which was taken from Fashion Bar in Clarke Quay, Singapore:

Really ordinary-looking, but damn hard to find in Singapore! Anyone has any idea? I need them to be properly chained-up in length of about 1.9m to 2.0m, and easily hundreds of strands of them, so as to decorate my wall of width 2.4m.

Have you tried eBay for the beads. eBayers ship all over the world and you might be lucky to find the exact beads. The joining circles can be purchase at your local hardware store. All you would need to do is ring them up to proper length.

  • seARTS plans Wearable Arts Show for Dec. 11-12

Building on two successful shows, the seARTS Wearable Arts group is preparing for its third annual show at Sawyer Free Library to coincide with Gloucester’s Middle Street Walk, Dec. 12, with a Friday night, Dec. 11 opening reception. Friday evening will include light refreshments and feature harp music by Carol McIntyre.

The Wearable Arts Show provides a unique opportunity to showcase local jewelers and fiber artists and at the same time benefits the Sawyer Free Library and seARTS. The group continues to diversify and distinguish itself on the North Shore by expanding on the wearable arts theme and attracting new artists each year.

The show will be located in the Saunders House section of the Sawyer Free Library at the corner of Middle Street and Dale Avenue in Gloucester.

Admission is free, and 15 percent of sales will go to seARTS. Cash and checks are preferred for purchases (credit cards only if offered by individual artist).

Ideas On How To Pick The Correct Pearl For The Greatest Gift at My ...

Many people love the thought of buying and using superb pieces made of gold or silver. But pearl jewelry also has been around for many years and has never really gone out of fashion. With the advent of cultured pearls jewelry was being made in a much more affordable form giving the general public far more choice.

These gems that occur very naturally within oysters have been sought after even in the time of Jesus. Mentioned in the bible, they were the gems of choice for royalty plus other very important people down through the ages.

Once man realized how the gem was made within the oyster, he set about trying to mimic nature, and eventually he succeeded in producing copies. Trying to emulate nature was going to be profitable because only one in approximately ten thousand oysters will contain one of these super gems. Even then, it may be of the right quality or size to be commercially viable as no one could guarantee the outcome.

However, by placing an irritant within the oyster or mollusk, cultured varieties will grow after some time. In this way the price of cultured gems came down so far that most people could afford to buy several pieces.
