I dont need real glasses but I would like to try out the look of wearing some fake ones.
What I'd like is the thick rimmed glasses, in black, but with plastic lenses not real ones. They are the kind of things emos would wear, but I just like trying out different looks and images.
I know urban outfitters had some and they were labelled as "nerd glasses" lol but I didnt buy them when I saw them and now they are out of stock :( Any ideas where I could try? Either online or in shops, ebay is a last resort and I'd prefer not to use it. Surely somewhere must sell them? Do claires accessories?

I am sure I saw a pair just as you have described. I think they may have been in River Island or Topman/Topshop - thick black rectangular rims with plastic lens.

I recently bought a pair of the fake glasses from a small fashion boutique.. and they are exactly what ive been looking for for my prescription glasses.. can i take them into my optometrist and add prescription to the lenses?
It would be quite pricey but plausible but not all frames can handle having lenses added to them. They might be too cheap and crack when adding lenses. I'd highly suggest buying them online http://optical4less.com they have very cheap prices and lots of styles to choose from.
