is the stereo view achieved with LCD shutter eyewear?

These days, the stereo effect is more often attained by slightly offset images which are filtered through stereo glasses, usually a cardboard thing with plastic red and blue plastic.

I did find some hardware for shutter glasses, but they are made for viewing your tv, using a specialized vcr.

What are your views and recommendations on Video Eyewear Glasses?

Do any of you have video eyewear glasses?
I'm interested in buying one but would like to know how clear the screen appears through the glasses.

Ive seen a few offering different size displays including 44" 50" and 80"
Obviously the larger screen would be ideal but does the image appear more blurred. ( the 80" display ive read about is offered with a resolution of 640 x 480 vga... personally i dont think thats enough).

Have any of you viewed the screen with a movie being played?

Can you recommend a specific make or model for the viedo eyewear glasses?

Has anyone used an Icuiti DV-920 video eyewear device? How is it?

I'm especially interested in how well the simulation of a large viewing screen works. Is it effective? Or does it tire the eyes?

Boys: Do you think glasses are hot?

Boys, I just got new glasses, that I only use in school. I don't mind how old you are, just do you like glasses, contacts, or no eyewear at all? Just say which one you like best, and how old you are. Just like hope you aren't too too young like 5th grade or lower. I kinda need older boys point of view. Thanks :)


i have contacts and just got new glasses. i think as long as they r not dorky and the frame is for your face, they should look great. when i wore my glasses, i had a lot of compliments. i think it gives ur look new twist, doin somethin new. i asked this question, and most of the answers i got was that they like glasses if they look good on ur face.
