Rx Eyewear

Can someone explain this to me in easy to understand terms. My daughter is 5 and has worn glasses since she was 16 months old and this is her most recent Rx.

OD +4.75 +3.00 90
OS +6.50 +2.50 95

Help! What do all these numbers mean and how bad is her vision? Thanks in advance!

Bless her heart, she is extremely farsighted with a lot of astigmatism. Astigmatism just means her eye is shaped more like a football instead of a basketball. Do her eyes cross without her glasses? She will probably always be in glasses, but probably not this strong. I am assuming her left eye is her worst eye? I can't tell her vision from the prescription, but I can tell you she is legally blind without them. Make sure she is seeing a good eye doctor.

I wear glasses but I take them off whenever I play basketball so I'm practically half-blind whenever I play. I'm one of those people that are scared to put contact lenses on, so I wanted to know what brand he was wearing because it looked like it was durable, comfortable and light-weight.

I saw the game today, I could have sworn that I saw an Oakley design. I wouldn't put it past him, I mean money is not an issue for a Jordan. I hope this helps.

After loosing my favorite sunglasses, I haven’t been able to find some that don’t give me a headache. Every time I try new sunglasses it feels like I am borrowing someone’s prescription eyewear. I have a 20/20 vision and don’t need rx glasses.

most of those that have optical distortion are "wrap" designs with polycarbonate lenses. either try to avoid "wrap" designs or avoid poly or both...or just keep looking
