What's the best brand of sports eyewear?

If I need sunnies for triathlons, what brand should I look at? I want something with a good versatile lens, lightweight with some features a variable fit and good look. Where should I start? I don't care about the brand icon, just a good product.
A friend recommended adidas for their versatility, features and so forth... which is better? adidas or oakley? Has anyone tried both? I haven't seen much adidas in the stores here in Australia, so don't know how popular they are.
I need to wear prescription lenses, so I was looking at getting one of those adaptors that attach to my sunnies and I know adidas make those.

i would get oakleys

their products are very versatile and you can get different types of lenses and frames. for running i would get the titanium frames, which are very lightweight and near indestructable. they are also aerodynamic, and stylish too ; ).

good luck

What is the best type of eyewear for racquetball?

I bought a 9.99 pair of goggles from dick's sporting goods and they are pretty comfortable but I have a problem with sweat running down the inside and they fog a little. I'm sure there is a better pair out there but don't want to spend a ton of money without doing a little research. Thanks!!!

well when i play i wear a headband and it gets most the sweat off the glasses so those 9.99 ones may be perfect try wearing a headband next time

Does anybody know the brand of Marcus Jordan's (Michael Jordan's son) Sports RX eyewear?

I wear glasses but I take them off whenever I play basketball so I'm practically half-blind whenever I play. I'm one of those people that are scared to put contact lenses on, so I wanted to know what brand he was wearing because it looked like it was durable, comfortable and light-weight.

I saw the game today, I could have sworn that I saw an Oakley design. I wouldn't put it past him, I mean money is not an issue for a Jordan. I hope this helps.

  • Functions and types of sport sunglasses

Sports sunglasses can help both professional athletes and amateurs improve performance. However, most sports enthusiasts don’t take their vision as a key factor in optimizing the performance while they are trying the latest equipments.

The light is composed of a variety of light rays with different colors and wavelengths, including blue, green, yellow, orange, violet and red. These colored rays create white light when they are combined together. Because rays with certain wavelength can be reduced selectively if they travel to eye, colored sunglasses can eliminate glare and improve contrast sensitivity. Therefore, athletes will have a key advantage from suitable sunglasses during competition. There are several advantages about colored sunglasses, such as enhancing contrast between objects and background, reducing glare, seeing target more clearly and so on.

Different colored sunglasses are designed for different outdoor activities. For example, gray sunglasses are the best choice for color perception with 100 percent of accuracy, while brown and copper-colored lenses are right for enhancement of contrast between objects and background. Also, yellow, amber, orange, and red lenses all have good effects in improving contrast.
