Buying glasses frames online and what about the lenses?

I have frames that don't have the lenses in them yet. I have the subscription and everything. If I bring it to a eyewear place, will they make the correct lenses and install it for me? Because the frames I have are frameless ones and they use screws to connect the lenses together. Are they professional enough to do this?


i bought my rx frames from the oakley store and took it to costco for lenses. turnaround was 3 days.

Why do many teens wear glasses with those thick plastic frames?

I personally cant think of any benefits from them. They are relatively heavy which can lead to facial strain. The lens look really thick and heavy too which further adds weight. They're just generally not efficient eyewear. Personally, I prefer the thin titanium ones because they wiegh much less and you can choose the thin lens. So why do people chose the inefficient one?


They're actually not that heavy and they're fashionable.

anyone bought Christie Brinkley eyewear from walmart?

Money is tight and I need a new pair of glasses. Walmart has frames by "Christie Brinkley" for a reasonable price. But are they poorly made? Has anyone had them? What about their "George" brand of eyewear?


"Walmart" and "Quality" are not words that go together.

What is a fair amount to spend on glasses?

I am new to the world of corrective eyewear and I don't know what I should be expecting to pay for the appointment and a pair of glasses. I have seen an enormous range from America's Best to Len Crafters. I am looking for a ball park figure that reflects non specialty, non designer frames + lenses. Should I expect 50 dollars, 100 dollars, 200 dollars, 400 dollars?


My glasses that are non-specialty and non-designer frames and lenses cost about 80 dollars total... However, if you go to a glasses shop, it will probably cost more. I bought mine at the doctor's office.

I have heard from other people that they would cost around the 60-90 dollar range..sometimes less, sometimes more. It depends on what you like.
