Should I get smokey or clear lenses?

I ride my bicycle in the rain a lot. The only draw back is that the water that is flung forward from the front wheel flies right into my eyes. I have decided to buy a black pair of these: http://www.edgesports.net/item.asp?id=38 19&desc=birdz-eyewear-the-ostrich&am p;referid=162168

What are the advantages/disadvantages to smokey lenses? How about clear lenses? Remember...I am riding my bike 5 miles non-stop (except for traffic lights of course).


The advantage of smoke lenses is they keep the sun out of your eyes, if you need these for rainy weather to keep water out of your eyes then their is no advantage, thier is no sun, they just look cool, the clear lenses would suit your needs it's just they don't look as cool as the smoke.

Sooooo you can have slightly darkened vision but look cool or have perfect vision but not look as cool.
