New York Eyeglass Frames

I am looking for frames for prescription eyeglasses, not sunglasses.

Also, they have to be stores. I don't want to purchase them online.

Please suggest stores in Chicago/New York City area.

Does Lenscrafters carry Chanel frames? I vaguely remember seeing them there before but I can't find them on the website. I did find Prada though. :\

I bought mine from my optomitrist. You can also get it from the chanel store, just have your eye doctor switch the lens. Thwy can do that for like 40 bucks.

So in the past six months I've seen a lot of people in New York, Chicago and Toronto wearing eyeglasses with completely clear frames. They don't look like what you might be thinking... meaning they are not your traditional style glasses with the arms and such. The closest I can find like it is something like these:

But these aren't even too close. They aren't smoked or anything, they are completely clear plastic and the arms are fat almost like one piece... but again it's not. Sorry I'm having a hard time describing them. I've been into two eyeglass shops and have tried to explain it and they look at me like I just fell off the turnip truck.

Anyway... I would love it if someone could point me to designers with frames that meet this description.

Recently I went to an optical store to get my eyeglasses in New York and i paid for a frame that was named Suki, japanese eyewear for like 200 dollars!
Does anyone know Suki, the designer eyewear? I tried to search google but I couldn't find it at all! I hope its a good brand!

Probably you are looking for "gotti", swiss brand since 1996. I don't know why but they put Japanese name as 'Suki' or 'Shiro' to their sunglasses.
