I bought my old frames at Walmart Vision Center. Would they be able to put my old lenses into my new frames? Do they do that? Or will I have to buy new lenses?
Sometimes they can re-cut your old lenses and make them fit a new frame, but depending on the size/shape of the frames and other factors, it may or may not be possible. Unless your old lenses were really expensive, it might not even save you that much money. To find out for sure, take the new frames and your old lenses to a optical place and they can tell you if it is possible and approximately how much it costs.
www.framesdirect.com - FramesDirect.com CEO and founder Dr. Dhavid Cooper givess a brief explanation of how to determine your eyeglasses frame size.
I bought some new frames from a website and would like to fill in with prescription lenses from my local eye center. How much will they charge for the lenses if I have already have a prescription filed with them?
I have no idea the total price but I guess since you have already prescription filed on your eyeglasses, you take big charge on it. Watch this video you really enjoy it.

I've just been shopping for them, and there are a lot of nice and unusual ones out these days. Why did you choose the ones you got, and were there others you liked, but passed up - why?
I got Transitions, the ones that turn dark in the sun. My frames are nice, with no line at the bottom. Here's a pic of me to make the explanation a bit easier. :D

i just bought new frames but they have "demo" lenses in them. i will need to have prescription lenses put it in. how much will it cost roughly? I dont have any extreme eye problems, just nearsighted.
It depends on your prescription, age, and what you want to add on to the lenses (like scratch coating, anti-reflective coating, transitions, tint, etc.).
If your prescription is low, I recommend getting standard plastic lens CR-39 (the cheapest lenses).
If your prescription is high ( > - 3.00/- 4.00), I recommend getting polycarbonate (2nd most expensive lens) or hi-index lenses (most expensive lenses because the lenses are thinner).
If your 18 years or younger, you are required to get at least polycarbonate lenses or better. You can't get standard plastic lens.
The prices will increase if you want the ADD-ons that are mentioned above.
Prices vary depending on where you go. Without vision insurance, it's quite expensive at private offices. I recommend that you go to commercial settings like Lenscrafters, Site for Sore Eyes, Costco, Walmart, JcPenney's, Sears, etc.
I need new lenses, but can't afford new frames now and love my current pair. Do the eyeglass places let you hold onto the frames, or do they have some creative way of scamming you into an expensive new pair of frames?
you can keep the frames and just get new lenses, however some places will only replace lenses in frames that *they* originally sold you....i'd go back to the same place you got them, or shop around - don't let anyone scam ya!

Now I am a student who entered university only recently. Just not before long, I nearly know nothing about fashion brands. But under the influence of my roommates who are unexceptionally cute boys keen on fashion, I gradually come to know a little about them, such as Chanel.Louis Vuitton or Hermès. Nonetheless, the brand I heard they mostly mentioned is Abercrombie & Fitch and Abercrombie. From their description, I vaguely knew that clothes of these two brands are very trendy and can make a full play of men’s masculinity and charm. I was somewhat obsessed with them. Therefore, I logged onto internet and tried to find further introduction to Abercrombie & Fitch and Abercrombie. To my amazement, their features are just fit into my appetite: advocate for youthful leisure line, a southern California style and deep western imprint. You must know, I have always been obsessed with western flavor. Besides, I find that clothes of these two brands have a demanding requisite on one’s figure with only heavy-muscled men can fit it well. But it bothers me little for I am totally confident in my own figure. So now I have become a big fan of Abercrombie & Fitch and Abercrombie for I know only they could show off my robust figure and make me even sexier after wearing them. So on a weekend, I went to the flagship store of A&F on Fifth Avenue. Upon entering it, I was impressed by its layout which manifests the style of its product. Big posts of heavy-muscled blond men and slim girls printed on its shop window tempt you to cast one more glance. Casually placed clothes and socks in the store form an atmosphere of leisure and youth. It really offers you a wonderful shopping experience. Despite my affinity to them, I still can’t help fall back to their formidable prices. I heard that Abercrombie & Fitch Company wouldn’t make cut on prices facing risk of huge losses even in the financial crisis. I think it’s somewhat deserved since their competitiveness lies in quality, style rather than price.
