I do not wear eyeglasses at all. But I want to protect my eyes because I am on the computer a lot. Where can I get this eyeglasses?
To protect your eyes from what ?
There are no rays of any kind emitted from a monitor, and unless you are wearing glasses, there is no glare.
Glare doesn't come from the screen, glare is what happens on your glasses lenses if they don't have an anti reflection coating. Glare is just the reflected light from the screen on the lenses...but if you don't have glasses on, there is no glare.
So, if you don't have to wear glasses, then there are no such thing as protective glasses needed for the computer.
Frequent breaks and keeping the monitor a good 30 inches away is all the protection you need from getting eyestrain.

I've scratched the protective coating on my eyeglasses and it's making me crazy. Do you know of a reliable and safe means of removing it?
Don't scratch it any more! that is permanently damaging your lenses. at our lab, there's such a thing as a "anti reflective coat strip" - which does just what it says and strips the anti reflective coat off our lenses. Then you still have your RX and won't have that problem any longer! We only charge around $10-$15 for this service.
Good luck! :)

Well, I recently just got some eyeglasses, and was wondering what is the best way to clean them? They're quite smudgy and the light seems to be kind of reflecting off the smudge, defeating the purpose of them being Anti-Reflective. In the past I've only used warm running water, so I don't think I will of damaged the AR with any products.
To be specific they're Anti-Reflective, UV protective, and Anti-scratch, so just wondering is there any product, or DIY product that I can use that won't affect any of the listed above. Thanks.
Use a specialist cloth from your opticians. Anything else is more likely to scratch them, anti-scratch does not mean scratch proof!
In a pinch, you can use a soft cotton cloth, like a T-shirt, but only clean them gently. You can blow on them to steam them up to help get the grease off but *don't* use any cleaning solutions unless you have checked it with your optician, I have never found one necessary.
I have a windows xp cd, its very important, but there are scratches on it that prevent me from installing language packs, would eyeglass cleaner be able to fix it? I remember the guy who sold me the cleaner told me it cleans your glasses and puts a protective coating on it. I dont want to mess this disc up, I already used rubbing alcohol to clean it, it didnt remove the scratches, will this work?
It cant hurt, but it takes a special high speed grinder to reface CD,s. Some music stores and photo shops may have the equipment.

Protective eyewear for kids
Eye injuries happen more often when you don’t wear protective eyewear or safety glasses during sports and some activities. So it is necessary for children who are vulnerable to eye injuries to pay more attention to eye protection.
Sports that require protective eyeglasses include most ball games such as baseball, soccer, softball, and tennis and some recreational activities. In some dangerous games, you also need to wear a polycarbonate face mask or wire shield. If you play outdoors, make sure your protective eyewear can protect your eyes from the danger of ultraviolet (UV) rays.
Since polycarbonate lenses not only provide superior eye protection, but also offer greater comfort due to their lightness, they are the best choice for protective eyewear. Children who have nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism can choose protective eyewear with prescription lenses which can both correct eyesight and lower the risk of eye injuries.
Before you choose protective eyeglasses for your kids, you should first set a good example for them. You should persuade your kids to know that it is very important to wear protective eyewear when they play sports, especially those dangerous games. At the same time, you should respect your children’s own choice of the style and take the advice from a professional optician on which eyewear fits your kids best. The selection of protective eyewear should be based on your children’s eye condition and specific sports needs.
