How to adjust plastic frame eyeglasses?

i heard that if you heat them up, they should be adjusted easily. but how and for how long?

The easiest way to do it is to boil a pot of water, and dip the glasses into it. How long will depend on the thickness and rigidity of the plastic, but we're really talking about 10 seconds at a time.

Go very, very slowly. Whenever possible, have your whole hand wrapped around the part that's not bending, as opposed to just a couple of fingers. More surface contact will mean less stress on any one given point. Be prepared to dip and bend several times before you get the fit you want.

is it possible to add nose pads to plastic frame eyeglasses?

There is no way to mount adjustable nose pads into a plastic frame if they were not manufactured that way. However, if you are just wanting something with a little more comfort, you can always try the silicone stick-on nose pads that you can find at some optical retailers.

How do you get rid of the whiteness forming on dried out plastic eyeglasses frames?

My older plastic eyeglass frames have developed some white blotches where the plastic is drying out. I tried mineral oil on someone's suggestion, which didn't work. The frames are otherwise great, and I'd like to know how to moisturize them and keep them looking nice.
The frames are mostly dark, with some clear plastic portions. Here are the frames: http://www.coolframes.com/?fid=1617

This is the placticizer coming to the surface and it just keeps happening. The only thing that has ever worked for me is to take an old piece of flannel and stretch it really tight over your finget and buff the frame out with a little dab of real acetone. You have to be careful as you can also ruin them if you get too much or do not buff fast enough.

What is the best paint to use to paint plastic eyeglasses frames?

I just bought a pair of vintage plastic eyeglasses online, the shape is perfect (ive been searching for this shape everywhere) but i hate the color. What is the most durable and least toxic (since it will be sitting on my face for extended periods of time) paint to use? I have been thinking about using the spray paint for plastics but I'm not sure if thats the best choice.

I know you want to but I really wouldn't put paint, especially spray on your glasses. They'll be near your eyes and will most likely be bad for them however non toxic the paint is. I'm sure the colours not that bad. :)
