SILLY STRAW PLASTIC TUBING EYEGLASS STRAWS
(Toy) WESTMINSTER
Drinking Glasses Literally. These clear, plastic-tubing faux-specs start in your soda, wrap around your ears and eyes, sit on your nose and end up in your mouth.
You slurp and your drink zips around your face and into your yap. The last word in sophisticated beverage consumption. Made of 1/8" and 1/4" tubing, the slurp-parts detach for when you're not drinking.
Some folks here believe we got this, despite the fact that it's in perfect working order, because the package says "It's suck-sational!"

I just bought a pair of vintage plastic eyeglasses online, the shape is perfect (ive been searching for this shape everywhere) but i hate the color. What is the most durable and least toxic (since it will be sitting on my face for extended periods of time) paint to use? I have been thinking about using the spray paint for plastics but I'm not sure if thats the best choice.
I know you want to but I really wouldn't put paint, especially spray on your glasses. They'll be near your eyes and will most likely be bad for them however non toxic the paint is. I'm sure the colours not that bad. :)

My older plastic eyeglass frames have developed some white blotches where the plastic is drying out. I tried mineral oil on someone's suggestion, which didn't work. The frames are otherwise great, and I'd like to know how to moisturize them and keep them looking nice.
The frames are mostly dark, with some clear plastic portions. Here are the frames: http://www.coolframes.com/?fid=1617
This is the placticizer coming to the surface and it just keeps happening. The only thing that has ever worked for me is to take an old piece of flannel and stretch it really tight over your finget and buff the frame out with a little dab of real acetone. You have to be careful as you can also ruin them if you get too much or do not buff fast enough.

I hate going to the optometrist and asking them to resize or reshape my glasses whenever they bend out of shape. Also whenever I buy some plastic (I think acetate) sunglasses at the store, it would be nice to be able to just do some minor adjustments to fit better.
Anyone knows? I think they heat them up but not sure how or with what...
Help... Thanks
Eyeglasses have been reshaped for many years using hot salt. Optometrists used to use this method themselves. Pour a box in a pan and heat it up slowly. It won't melt. Here's the tricky part; figuring out how to hold the glasses stationary in the position they need to be in while you pour the hot salt over them and let it cool. I've strategically pounded nails in a board to hold the glasses where I want them, built a little wall around them with tin foil, and then poured the salt in. Be sure to have enough salt to completely cover the glasses, salt is cheap. I can't say whether or not your glasses can withstand the heat, but I've used this method many times to tighten many types of sunglasses to my temples with only good luck. Takes a little work, but saves money. Especially if the glasses are cheap sunglasses. Mine usually are. The salt is very hot, be careful.
I am looking to get a pair of eyeglasses with just regular clear plastic lenses, that do not have any type of prescription to them... I just need a pair of glasses to wear inside because I have dry eyes and wearing glasses helps with that problem.. All the glasses I can find online look like safety glasses and not regular glasses... Do eyeglass places, like the ones in walmart, have eyeglasses without prescriptions in them... How much would I be looking at spending on these? Thanks
You can get them online for much cheaper than buying them from Lenscrafters and other stores like that... My mom got some Gucci ones from CoastalContacts.com. They have designer ones as well as some less expensive ones if you just want a cheap pair.

What Are The Most Comfortable Eyeglasses On The Market?
Comfort is an individual thing, for instance, some people wear contacts because they don’t enjoy having to worry about glasses. On the other hand, the idea of putting something in their eyes makes some people squeamish and they can’t fathom wearing anything but eyeglasses.
Yet, even those who make that choice to wear specs agree that glasses can be a bit cumbersome at times. The shape at the bridge is the most important aspect of determining comfort and is where the source of aggravation often stems. These types of glasses often leave red marks on the nose because they grip too tightly. This can make them very hard to wear.
More often than not, such frames are made out of plastic, this doesn’t mean that plastic frames will always be uncomfortable, in fact, some designer names are stamped on plastic frames.
Which leaves the question of what types of eyeglasses offer the most comfort to those who chose glasses over contacts?
