Is there a way to clead the nose pads, of two or three year old eyeglasses that have yellowed?


Jorst ... You local Wal-Mart or any decent optometry office will change these for you for about $2 or $3. If you smile and ask real nicely, if the sales assistant thinks you're really cute, you might even get them replaced for nothing. Believe me ... I sure as heck ain't cute ... never was ... but my Wal-Mart offered to change them for me for free twice. I guess I looked like a big spender, or something. Just kidding.

I have a really awesome pair of cat eyeglasses, but the lenses don't match my eyes. I just basically want to use to frames, but put new prescription lenses into it. Do Lenscrafters do this, and how much would it be?


It can be done, but it is at your own risk. Because the frame is old, the company doesn't make it anymore- This just means that if the frame breaks they won't be able to get replacement parts. Fitting your new lenses into another frame would be much more difficult, so if your current frame breaks you'd likely need to buy new frames AND lenses again to replace them.

can you help me find an old pair of eyeglasses?

over five years ago, i used to have chanel eyeglasses and they were my absolute favorite pair. i think someone stole those glasses and i got new ones after. anyway, they were 50's style but modernized and were made with purple plastic.

is there anyway i could find them? i was thinking a warehouse with old glasses or something. i really have no idea. any help would be appreciated.

    Trade in an old pair of out-of-date eyeglasses for $25 towards a new pair at Hollywood Eyes.

    It's the store's version of "Cash for Clunkers" and the campaign begins Thursday and ends Oct. 31.

    The old eyewear is donated to a local Lions Club, which recycles the used glasses for people in need in Central America.
