Is it possible to add prescription to non- prescription fashion glasses?

I recently bought a pair of the fake glasses from a small fashion boutique.. and they are exactly what ive been looking for for my prescription glasses.. can i take them into my optometrist and add prescription to the lenses?

It would be quite pricey but plausible but not all frames can handle having lenses added to them. They might be too cheap and crack when adding lenses. I'd highly suggest buying them online http://optical4less.com they have very cheap prices and lots of styles to choose from.

Just curious to know whether there are any effects on the eyes - if at all, when wearing fashion glasses.

What do you think of people that wear non-prescription glasses just as a fashion accessory?

Im thinking of getting some kenneth cole or armani frames.

I think it is fine. I HAVE to wear glasses and wish I didn't. However, if people want to express themselves with non-prescription glasses, I don't see the harm. Some glasses are pretty tight and if a person finds they like it and are comfortable; GO FOR IT!

where can i get fashion glasses with clear non-prescription lenses?

i need some fashion eyeglasses with plain non-magnifying lenses. where can i get them, and how much would they cost?

Most anywhere, but if you've seen a prescription frame that you like and you want them without prescription lenses then order from one of the on-line shops and just tell them you want non-prescription lenses. They should be able to ship right away because they don't have to have to make prescription lenses. I've attached an article that talks about buying glasses over the Internet. I hope it helps you to find what you are looking for and save money at the same time.

  • Designer Glasses Brands | Fashion Fanatic

A surge in the use of eye glasses as a fashion accessory resulted in catching the attention of various brands around the world. They have used their already experienced and seasoned designing style to come up with frames with unique looks. The designer glasses have quickly become more stylish, durable and original and consequently, more admired.

The following are some of the brands which came up with the most successful and popular designer glasses: i) Guess: Guess is an American clothing line founded in 1981 by four brothers: George, Armand, Paul and Maurice Marciano. Credited with some of the most urban designs of all time, the designer glasses from Guess carry the same amount of their trademark youth in their designs. With a worldwide presence, Guess’ designer glasses are the easiest to find, both in retail and online stores.

ii) Diesel: Based in Molvena, in northern Italy, Diesel s.p.a. is known for its street-smart designs, which are classy and exciting at the same time. Since all their designs are guided by the talented Wilbert Das, you can expect some completely original designer glasses from them which are effortlessly stylish. Though on the higher end, when it comes to pricing, you can get them at bargain prices at online stores.
