Eyeglasses

I'm ordering eyeglasses on Ebay cause they are much cheaper there than at an actual eyewear store. And I don't know my size. I need to order them now before the bid is closed. Can anybody tell me how I can know my size. The size for the ones i am getting is a 54/16/135 is that for a small head or a big head?

I just went to the dr to have my eye re evaluated and to find out since I am seeing double vision one above the other I need to have prism in my lens. My dr said that lens crafters should not charge for the lens itself but may for the prism. Does anyone know if they got their glasses from lens crafters?

The cost involved, usually is for the base price of the lenses plus an additional charge for putting prism in the prescription. Prism usually is about $3-$5 per unit of prism (prism diopters). You probably have some base up and/or base down prism. If you have already had lenses made and the doctor has re-examined your eye and added the prism to your prescription, most optical companies will remake the lenses and only charge for the prism. Good luck with the new glasses, seems like you're finding out that vision is very precious.

im wearing contacts because when i was in 7th grade people told me i look different with glasses on, they said i look better without glasses.

what happens to your face when you wear glasses?

do some people look bad in it? or some good?

Anybody would look good in the right pair of glasses. People who look "better" without glasses have probably just gotten a pair that does not suit their face/facial features.

For example, I have a smaller head than most so wide glasses or those big sunglasses would look awful.

I hope you at least wear glasses at night when you are at home. Wearing your contacts for long periods of time can cause infection or mess up your vision.

I need eyeglasses for everything and want new frames. I am going into 8th grade. Please, if you have time, find me a picture of a pair of glasses that would fit a heart face. I am white, kinda tan (not to be racist or anything, but for color wise)! Thank you so much for your time and answers!

If you have a heart shaped face, you want to avoid any extra width on the upper half of your face. So try to avoid wide frames. Best would a not too wide frame, without many details.
Regarding your hair and skin color, try to avoid big/heavy frames. If you are kinda tan, golden, silver or soft brown colors will probably suit you very good.

I am happy with my current lense strength in my eyeglasses. I just want to get a different style frame. I would like give them my existing eyeglasses and i would pick out a new frame. I was able to do this in the past, and now i can't find a store that would do it.
An eye exam would just give me thicker lenses and my eyeballs
would become lazier over the years and the lenses would become thicker and thicker.

If your state licenses Opticians, (not to be confused with Optometrists or Ophthalmologists, which are doctors) one of them can simply read the prescription off your current lenses and make you a copy. You do not require a prescription to do this, and it is perfectly legal.

They are not allowed to change the prescription, only make an exact copy of power your lenses currently are. This is done with a machine called a refractometer. Not all states allow this, so simply go into a big chain store at the mall like Pearlevision or Lenscrafters, and they will be able to tell you if its possible.
