Eyeglasses Rimless

I was wondering what you think of semi rimless eyeglasses. Do you like them? Are they popular to wear these days? I am interested in getting a pair, but would like to see how many people like them, or dislike them.

Depends what your age is, if your under 30 i wouldn't suggest wearing them, semi rimmed glasses are for the more older and sophisticated people on my point of view.

The length of the anti-reflective coating chip is about 2 millimeters and the thickness of the chip is literally hairline but I am afraid that if I don't fix it sooner, it will start peeling away and make it larger. It is only present on the upper rim on my right lens. Can I buy an AR coating that can be applied to the chip with a small pointy brush?

no, the anti reflection coating is not painted on, its applied onto an uncut new lens in a vacuum chamber. It cannot be repaired or removed entirely either.

Rimless Glasses are less noticable than most glasses, however they aren't for everyone. I say that because glasses can be tricky due to your prescription, lifestyle, faceshape, and how they fit.

For comfort, you want something that will fit your face well. Make sure your eyes are centered in the frame and the temples (commonly known as the arms, wings) are the appropriate distance from your side of the head to behind your ear.

For Safety, polycarbonate lenses are impact resistent. They won't shatter like plastic.

I am getting a new pair or pairs of eyeglasses. There are always specials for two pairs of glasses. I was looking for something stylish kind of lenses. What do you suggest? I was considering rimless as well. Anyone ever had an experience? Much thanks! :-)
I have a round face and I just learned that I need rectangular lenses to fit my face shape.

If your prescription is high, you may not like the finished product if you choose a rimless or semi-rimless frame. There is no frame to conceal the thickness of the lens.

If you are rough on glasses you should also stick to a full frame. Full frames tend to stand up to more abuse than rimless or semi-rimless frames.

Totally rimless frames also require a little more maintenance than semi or full rimmed frames. Usually drill mounted frames come out of adjustment more frequently, and if they have nuts and bolts, as opposed to plastic clips, holding the lenses to the frame, the screws come loose and need to be tightened more frequently.

If you want a fashion forward look, plastic frames with bold colors are "in" and fully rimless frames are "out." Do some shopping around and look at what the designer brands are making. The big name designers change their styles frequently and are always an indication of what's hot on the fashion front.

The rules about face shape and lens shape are a good guide to direct you, but if you try a frame on and it looks good and you feel good wearing it, it doesn't matter what shape it is or if it fits the rules.

okay i would maybe wear contacts till the debate is over if anyone is accusing you of that, but after the debate you could wear them again probably. Or wear them like her and imitate her just to make people laugh even if you totally support her.
