Where can I get an "eyeglasses repair kit" to tighten my glasses?

My mom is about to go out and get one because my glasses are too loose, what common store can I get them? I want something like CVS but CVS doesn't have them on their website, give me a store that you know will have them. I don't want to go back to a glasses store because it will take too long to get there, I just want like a regular store, thanks.

All you can do with that though, is tighten the screws.

If your glasses are too loose on you, tightening the screws won't help all that much. They probably need to be adjusted right on you again.

There is a lot more to making frames fit right than just tightening the screws.

How many eyeglass frame repairs per month does the average optician take in?

It depends on your location. For a mall optician it could be up to 60-70 a month, while for a small town optician it could be 7-10.

How can I repair light scratches on eyeglasses?

My eyeglasses have a ton of very fine scratches on them, probably due to wiping them with my shirt. I've had these lenses over a year. Is there some compound that fills in the scratches?

There's no way of removing scratches in eyeglasses. Buffing or polishing them out would change your prescription.

Does anyone know a good way to repair scratches on eyeglasses?

I have already read reviews on the Lens DR. and have heard that it doesn't work, so I was wondering if there is a way I could just do it myself.

Perhaps maybe a grease pen...do they work?

Sorry...there is no way...nothing that works.

Anything used as a filler would have to be the same material and optical clarity as the lens itself...so, that is impossible.

The only thing to do is have the lenses replaced.

Why do people use scotch tape to repair their broken eyeglasses?

It looks very dorky. Some use duct tape, even to keep a broken lens from falling out!

Tape is usually the best way to hold together your broken glasses until you can get another pair, which can take some time in some places. While it may look dorky, if you need to see, it's better than groping around on your knees, trying to find your way to your car, then driving home in that condition. Would YOU want to meet someone like THAT on the road? Though I do admit that most people drive that way anyway, with no excuse at all. I've had to hold mine together with a bread twist tie, when I lost the screw out of the hinge. Talk about dorky! It looked like a flag, announcing to the whole world, "Lookee here...a big dork...make way...coming through!" Go ahead, laugh...everyone else did. <*)))><
