I want to make some crafts with eyeglass lense..i saw the cutest brotches/pins made with the lens and decopaged pics on them.
I just had new lenses put into my old frames, and they asked me if I wanted to keep the old lenses. When I said no, they threw the old ones in a garbage pail under the counter. Maybe you could go to one of those 'mall' eyeglass centers and ask if they could give you the old ones rather than throw them out. They might have other plans for them (I wouldn't know for what tho) but there's no harm asking. There's usually nothing wrong with used lenses (like scratches or broken) since most people change them because their prescription has changed. You can clean them easily with some windex or glass plus, and they'll look good as new. You could also ask people you know who wear glasses if they have old ones laying around collecting dust. For some reason (?) I have glasses in my dresser from 20 years ago. You could also ask them that if they get new lenses in the future, would they mind keeping the old ones for you.

I am looking for a gift for someone who wears glasses and is always loosing them. A friend said they make a pin you wear on a shirt or top that has a loop to hold the glasses. Does anyone know where I can find such an item?

I dropped a CPU into the motherboard. 8 pins were bent. I bent them back with a small screwdriver that was metal(for eyeglasses) anyway, the cpu fit perfectly back into place and I checked it a couple of times to make sure they weren't bending again. Nope, fine. Put the computer back together, started, and moniter won't come up at all? Is is the CPU? What is the best recourse for something like this? I won't know what it is, because it could be both? Does it sound like something else?
How do you know the computer is "on"? Because it sounds like it's turning on? Are you sure it's loading Windows (or linux or etc). It's possible the computer isn't actually posting(booting) or anything and thus nothing would show on the screen. Do you hear any beeps when your computer starts up? Depending on your bios (check with your motherboard manufacture), the number and style of beeps may mean good or bad things.
Also, check that your video card is properly seated, maybe that is why you aren't seeing anything. Have you plugged the monitor into a computer to check it as well?
I've bent plenty of cpu pins without problems, but you never know.
Ok so i was trying to fix my Nes it had the blinky power light and green screen. I was looking around the whole system when i noticed you could take the bottom rectangle piece off and then i saw a hole there was a green thing you can turn??( I used a eyeglasses scewdriver)I have no clue what it is. so i tought that would fix it but it did not. So i looked up on the internet and found out about the 72 pin connector and the 10NES chip and i tryed the bending the pins back and that did not work now there is a fuzzy black screen( Is this because i messed with the green thing you can turn?). So i was wondering if anyone could tell me whats wrong and how you can tell if i have the 10NES chip thank you.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Famicom (the Japanese equivalent to the NES) used a disk system for saving games such as Zelda and Metroid. Some disk system games in the US used a password system, but this wasn't sufficient for saving games such as Zelda.
They intended to release a peripheral to the NES that would allow for disk system games to be played in the US, but instead Nintendo used batteries in the cartridges to save the games instead. The NES came out when they were still considering developing it later. It was never made and the expansion port's still there.
I really don't know about the rest of your question. The 10NES chip is in the cartridge to lockout unlicensed hardware, and the 72 pin connector is the thing on the front you put the games in (because the cartridges have 72 pins)
As for the "green thing", my NES just has a strip of plastic over the port underneath the bottom rectangle, so I don't know what you're talking about. I don't have my NES with me right now so I can't go check it out myself.
