While it’s true that making beaded eyeglass holders is much like making a necklace, length is important so that your glasses will rest about mid chest. Lengths will be different for everyone, depending on your size, so measure some beading wire or chain before you begin this project.

I opted for a chain eyeglass holder because I like the look of chain, but I wanted to add some color, too. First, I measured my chain and cut about 18 inches. I slid the two eyeglass arm holders onto the arms of my glasses; the fit should be snug. There should be a little hole in the arm holders; that hole should be facing downward, so that the chain will hang straight down.

I put a jump ring through each of the holes in the snugly fit arm holders, and attached the chain to the jump rings. I slid purple and blue E-beads onto jump rings and put those jump rings through the links in the chain, varying my spacing and the number of beads used on each jump ring. The result is a stylish and classic chain for your eyeglasses.
