I am looking to buy some new prescription eyeglasses frames that have a soft and squishy temple sleeve or ear piece part. Most glasses have hard plastic or hard metal temple tips (end piece resting on the ear). Just wondering if there are any frames out there that have a soft temple end, maybe made of foam, squishy gel, etc. Would love to find some frames that are soft on my ears! P.S. I am not interested in drill mount rimless frames. Thanks.

I was in an automobile accident, and as a result, my left ear is 1/4 inch lower than my right ear. Long time ago, I remember someone selling an earpiece that could be attached to your glasses to "level" your ears out. It was a simple plastic extension, I think. Anyone know where I can find these?
When you have your eyeglasses adjusted, your optician should always compensate for one ear higher than the other. Most everyone has this same problem, since no one is perfectly symetric. I have heard of this part that your talking about. Maybe check the yellow pages and look up eyeglass repair shops. They should carry them. If there isn't a listing, ask your doctor or optician where a repair shop is. They will know.
I've bought two pairs of eyeglasses online with my current prescription, but they feel funny when I try to use them - they are better than no glasses, but noticably worse than the current glasses that I wear (the same prescription) even though those glasses are quite scratched.

I bought mine from Zenni optical because they were really cheap and I had heard good comments about them.
The glasses I received are too small for my face - I thought I had the measurements from my prescription filled into the online form correctly, and I thought I was getting the correct size. In the future, if I buy online, how can I know which glasses to choose? I don't understand the information given for each pair of glasses on the online sites - which numbers correspond to the total width of the glasses between the earpieces (if I know that I can measure against my current eyeglasses)??

I have bought one pair of regular glasses online and one pair of prescription sunglasses. Because of price, I am now able to have two or three pairs I so desire and I can afford to replace my glasses and still have money to pay the bills.
The best way to get glasses that fit is to take out a comfortable pair that you have and measure the temple (from the beginning of the 90º curve, not from the hinge, to the end of the curve behind your ear), the bridge (distance between the lenses), and the width and height of the lens. Most websites will show all of these measurements and you can compare what you have and like with that for which you are shopping. Note that all measurements are in millimeters.

I recently had a right lense that decided to come out out of nowhere and due to that my right lense has a scratch on it but its way on the right side of my right lense kinda way over there where my earpiece connects to the glasses. My question is would it effect my eyesight i mean the only way of really seeing it is looking way way to the right and even if i looked that far my left eye would almost be looking at my nosepiese. I mean i am worried about it it is a pretty good scratch but so far hasn't been a problem....
