Eyeglasses Charm

I am not so attractive and i wonder why?
I am not ugly. Actually I wear eyeglasses and I'm on the top list in my school. Can that be the reason why guys are not attracted to me?
what should i do to become charming?

DO NOT change who you are. Don't try to be more charming if it means changing your personality.

Guys like smart girls, and I don't think they care about glasses. But if you show up everyday looking like you don't want to be there, it sends a message. Put some effort into getting ready in the morning. Make sure your clothes are well fitted (not too tight) and have a bit of your own style to them

It may also be that your going after the wrong guys. If you're on speech team, would you really have anything in common with a guy who plays football?

Jeeze Louise, I'm old, have I been wasting the last 6.5 years of my life? My partner moved to where I live (a different state than where he was) and for the most part I've been the primary support of the household. When he has found work, he immediately puts the money toward the household, but those instances have been few and far between. In January '09 I started telling him that really didn't work for me and he needed to find regular work or move on. I must be incredibly gullible because by May he still hadn't found work, but he sold his car.

With the car money we did things like buy heating fuel for the first time in a year (hot water and a stove again!), car insurance on my car which we both have been driving, eyeglasses for me which were desperately needed plus I found out I have glaucoma during the exam, he got a laptop, new clothes, we paid overdue household bills, etc. No 'fun' stuff but it was all very welcome.

During the period of January-May he had been ramping up a "friendship" with a woman he met online. He's had female friends before which I was cool with, but this was different and I told him so. Long story short, he and she were rubbing up against each other and being very sexual over the internet.

The biggie for me is that I really trusted him. I'm pretty ok with his other friends, but he had always assured me that this last one was nothing special--and I could tell it was. I place the highest value possible on integrity and character and honesty. What he did dashed my faith in him and devastated me personally.

In the intervening weeks, I told him he had to resolve his relationship with her if he wanted to be with me (the supposed love of his life). It's been 6 weeks and he's done nothing. I also told him he had to find regular money-making work to be with me. Again, nothing.

I think maybe I just don't want to face facts, and he is very charming and sweet-talking and I really want to believe him. Right now, he's out of state because of an illness in his family and I told him not to think about coming back unless the issue with the other woman is resolved AND he has some sort of gainful employment.

He acts like I'm being incredibly unreasonable. Is that right?
Thanks for your wise answers, I can't believe how stupid I am. For the record, I know he's with family because I've met them before and I've spoken with them about the person who is getting cancer treatments. The other woman is in a whole different state altogether.

I was in this exact same situation with my ex. He moved to my state and never truely looked for employement and in his free time would be doing inappropriate internet stuff. I felt like when he moved to 'my state' he thought he didn't have to do much. When things got really bad he sold his car as well, which helped but did not fix the bigger problem. His cheating is a whole separate issue. I think some people can change, but they have to really want to. If he's been doing this for a over a year now, its not really 'bad luck' it's his behavior and personality. You just really need to ask yourself what you see in this man? Is he really worth allowing him to sit around while your at work? I know it's hard to let go, but sometimes the hardest thing is the right thing.
