OD; Sphere (-200), Cylinder (-75), Axis (15), Prism (0), Base (0)
OS; Sphere (-250), Cylinder (-50), Axis (60), Prism (0), Base (0)
What do these terms mean, as well how many degrees near sighted does this make me?

I went to the eye doctor today. They gave me prescription for glasses which I don't really understand. It says OD Spherical: -0.50, Cylindrical: Sph. OS Spherical: -0.75, Cylindrical:Sph. Can somebody please explain this to me. Also, what frame suits a round face?
There isn't really much to understand. You are just mildly nearsighted in both eyes.
Usually a rectangular shape suits a round face, but you will have to try frames on to find what you think looks best on you.

You are marginally short-sighted.
Some people would find the Rx useful just for driving, cinema, watching TV, etc. but many would not bother.
The left eye has its short-sight as astigmatism. This is not rare, or a disease or a problem. 80% of people with an Rx have some degree of astigmatism.
But your doctor should have talked this through with you.
I recently had my eyes checked and this is what it reads:
OD +25+50x0.90
OS -50+75-0.75
I have never need glasses before. Do I really need them?
Your vision isn't bad at all compared to prescriptions I've seen. But the only reason you would need glasses is to correct your astigmatism. Astigmatism just means each eye has two different focal points (focusing areas) and doesn't allow you to see in fine detail. It's up to you whether you decide to get glasses but you'll probably need them sooner or later anyway. Hope this helps.

R.eye:+0.50DSph. L.eye:+0.50DSph.+1.25DCyl Axis178...It means you are having +Spherical power in right eye and +Compound power in left eye.Cylindrical indicates astigmatism. You are hyperopic(farsighted). This is for distant use.You need further +1.75 Spherical for near work called addition.Addition increases as age increases. So your near power R.eye:+2.25DSph. L.eye:+2.25DSph.+1.25DCyl Axis178. D means Diopter,unit in which power of ophthalmic lenses measured.
