Eyeglass Plastic

The glasses are a hard plastic, and they are broke in the middle above the nose.
They are broken in the middle above the nose, and I've already tried krazy glue with no luck.

JB Quik Weld will work temporarily. It comes in two tubes that must be combined. Take a small file and rough up the surface of the frame on each side of the break. Once you mix the two ingredients together you will have about 4 minutes before it hardens. Keep the mixed preparation off of the frame until you just first notice a little bit of thickening then apply it rapidly to the broken area making sure to apply not only to the broken spot but also onto the frame to each side of the break. Hold the frame stationary until the mixture hardens. It will look terrible but it should do the job until you can get new glasses. Hope this helped.

It's a new pair. The frames are plastic. I went back to the place I got them, but the lady there said they really couldn't be adjusted much because they're plastic. I assume she means they can't be bended. But I always assumed they only had to unscrew the frames a little at the screw near the front of the glasses to loosen them. Is that not true?

Your body will adapt itself to the frame-shape - though of course you should perhaps take the glasses off when they get too sore, and allow the area to heal. The pain you are experiencing just now is evidence of this.

Plastic does have some flexibility - as you are getting used to your glasses, the plastic will settle into shape naturally.

By loosening screws (even slightly), there is a danger that would lose the screw and possibly have an accident.

What hot solution or substance should the frame be dipped into before being bent into an adjusted shape? If it's not readily available, where do I get it? What's the professional optician's way?

place in hot tap water, for about a minute.
Along the length of the ear frame only
then gently bend, be careful, too much will cause it to break,
Then place in cold running tap water for a minute, to set while holding the shape

But for best results go back to where you got your glasses.

I used Kleer Fog on them and now they simply wont stay clean and are always needing to be cleaned. Anyone know how to remove the film that stuff left on my lenses? Thanks!

The anti-fog solution is actually a soap. I would follow the previous suggestion of using a 70% rubbing alcohol solution to clean the lenses, followed by a quick dip and rub in your everyday dish water. Rinse and gently dry with a cotton cloth. Make sure that the cotton cloth was NOT washed or dried with fabric softener.
