What is the style and manufacturer of Steven Colbert's eyeglass frames?

I'm going to Lens Crafters for new glasses and I love the style he wears.

u should print out his pic and take it to several places other than lens crafters cuz they might not have it. the sales ppl if they know what they're doing would be able to tell what style that is.

Please explain the manufacturer marks on eyeglass lenses?

Im not sure which marks you mean, most of the lenses i have ever seen are clear.
I know multifocals have almost invisible marks on them, that specify the type of multifocal it is, but that is all i can think of without more information.

Is Sharper Image the only manufacturer of the Automatic Eyeglass Cleaner?

I'm not looking to spend $40 on this.

Don't spend $40 on it. I received one as a gift a few years ago. It worked all right, but after about a year the little plastic clip which held the glasses broke, rendering the whole thing useless.

The basic idea is that it jiggles your glasses in cleaning solution. The solution provided works pretty well, but you can get the same effect by pouring it into a bowl and jiggling your glasses manually.

In the final analysis, plain soap and water and your fingers work just as well as this overpriced, fragile gizmo.

Which eyeglasses plastic lens manufacturer is better, Hoya or Essilor?

I want to buy a new prescription eyeglasses, but i can't decide which lens to buy.. Everyone said that Rodenstock is the best but it's way over my budget..

So which is better, Hoya or Essilor?

Oh yeah, scratch resistant is the most important point for me..

Thx everyone!

In my professional opinion, Essilor lenses are the best. They are the people who brought the Varilux and revolutionized progressive lenses. I fit most of my patients with Essilor lenses; the make the Varilux Comfort, the Natural, and the Ellipse, which are all fantasic lenses in my experience. All of their lenses are available in plastic, hi-index plastic, polycarb, and glass. They are also available in Transitions.

Essilor also has fabulous lens coatings. Their Crizal, and Crizal Alize are in my opinion, the best anti-reflactive lens treatments available. They are head and shoulders above any other coating that I have worked with as far as durability is concerned. They also have the TD2, which is a tough, durable, and 2-sided lens protection for scratching that carries an awesome warranty.

You do pay a little more for some Essilor products, but to me, its worth it to get a good lens that will satisfy my needs and my lifestyle.

Who is the manufacturer of Fendi eyeglasses?

  • An eyeglass manufacturer tried to boost sales - Flaw in Argument

An eyeglass manufacturer tried to boost sales for the summer quarter by offering its distributors a special discount if their orders for that quarter exceeded those for last year’s summer quarter by at least 20 percent. Many distributors qualified for this discount. Even with much merchandise discounted, sales increased enough to produce a healthy gain in net profits. The manufacturer plans to repeat this success by offering the same sort of discount for the fall quarter.

Based on the success of the discount offer over the summer, the manufacturer plans to extend the same offer for the fall quarter. The question asks you to find the answer choice that identifies a flaw in this plan, that is, a reason for thinking that, even though the plan was successful in the summer quarter, it will not succeed in the Choice A is incorrect because the discount program is based on a comparison between a distributor’s sales in a quarter and the sales in the same quarter the previous years, rather than in the previous quarter. Since advertising helps the distributors sell to their retail customers, choice B provides no reason for thinking the plan will not succeed in the fall. Choice C is incorrect: although part of the success of the discount incentives in the summer may have come from distributors’ recovering to more normal sales, that does not provide a reason for thinking that the same increase in sales cannot occur in the fall quarter. Choice D is also incorrect: distributors’ flexibility in deciding how to take advantage of the discounts give no reason for thinking that the discounts will fail to increase fall sales.
